“Starving I haven’t eaten much this week I've been so nervous” I say“Just like your sister” I look at Niya I don't think it's good that she's not eaten, I mean isn't that bad for the baby“Are you ok Niya” I ask her“Oh, Honey I'm fine I told you before he's a worrier let’s get you settled in and then we'll have some lunch” I follow the two of them and have another look around Niya reaches for me and I take it. I'm still a little freaked at how similar we look, I follow her into the house and notice a huge fire place a huge TV and then a huge black leather sofa (wow) she takes me down the hall and she opens a door*“Ok so this is your room bathrooms next to it Colt and I are down the hall, I hope you like everything” I smile looking around again“Its great Niya thank you” I say smiling“Ok well I'll let you get freshened up and I'll be in the kitchen ok honey” I look at her and nod but she walks in and I face her“I really am glad you’re here Zoey, you’re my sister and the moment I found out about you and what happened to mom I wanted you here. I want you to know that Colt and I want you here with us and soon your nephew will be here and he's going to love his Aunty Zoey. Niya hugs me again smiles and leaves me in the room alone. I turn back around a look at the room and one of the first things I notice is the quiet, no cars driving by no people yelling nothing just complete silence. The rooms cute with a double bed side tables dresser and a large closet a matching book case and shelves on the wall, I walk over and look out the window and I can see outside to the backyard and there's a huge hole in the ground and piles of wood and a couple of sheds but its peaceful(knock knock)“Come in” I call out and Colt comes in and puts my bags on the bed“Here ya go kiddo like the room” I nod“Yeah its perfect”“Zoey” he says and I look at him“Yeah”“Where glad you’re here” he tells me“Thanks Colt”“Lunch in ten” he says“Ok”He leaves me to myself and I go through the bags and find the letter that our mother had written to Niya before her death, she'd promised that I keep looking for my sister and that when I found her I had to give her the letter. I tuck it into my pocket and make my way to the kitchen the smells mouthwatering“Hay hungry” Colt asks me and I nod“Starving”“Good sit your bony ass down”“Colt” Niya says“What?”“Don't say that to a teenage girl”“What?”“That she has a bony ass” Niya says and I hold in my smile“Why not she does” she rolls her eyes at him“Sit down Zoey ignore him” I sit across from her and I slide the letter across the table“What's this?” she says and I look at the letter mom had written, she'd written both of us a letter I haven’t read mine yet the loss of her is still fresh and I'm just not ready, not yet anyway“It's a letter from mom” I see her smile drop and she looks at the letter as if it going to bite her or something, I slide it closer to her and she just stares at it“It's from mom” she asks I nod my head“Yeah she wrote both of us one”“What was in yours?”“I don't know I haven’t read it yet” she looks at me than the letter again I think she's going to grab the letter but she grabs my hand instead giving it a squeeze, tears slide down her cheek.“Zoey” she says“It's ok Niya, I'm ok I'm just not ready yet but this is for you, she wanted to make sure you got it she made me promise if I ever found you to give it to you” I watch as she reaches for the letter with a shaky hand, she stares at it for so long when I hear Colt“Baby you ok” she looks up at him“I'm not ready to say goodbye Colt, she bursts into tears and he grabs her and picks her up and sits in the seat she was sitting at and he hugs her tight, I feel like an intruder watching them (should I give them privacy)“Then don't read it baby not if you’re not ready” Colt tells her and he leans in and kisses her and hold her tight in his arms.Chapter Twenty-OneColtWe eat lunch and Niya and Zoey talk she seems like a good kid Niya had went to the High school to enroll Zoey in already but we still haven’t told her about the club yet we'd asked the Social Worker not to mention it so we could explain it, it was family business and we didn't need any pencil pushing nosy bastard in our business so we were going to tell her at lunch until she bought out the letter and that through a spanner in the works
