"I missed you, Daddy," I whisper kissing his neck before placing kisses all over his face.

"Hello, Goddess. I missed you too," he says taking my lips and owning the kiss. When he finally sets me down, I take his hand and lead him into the bathroom. "What are we doing in here? Do you need my cock?" he asks with a shit eating grin on his face.

"Not exactly. Well, I mean I always want that, but I've been feeling off for a few days now," I begin but he cuts me off before I can continue.

"Have you gone to the doctor? What are your symptoms?" he asks. Concern is evident in his voice.

“No… Not yet,” I hedge.

“Get your purse. Let’s go,” he says trying to drag me out of the room.

“What I am trying to say is that I am not sick at the moment, but I need you to look at something for me.”

“What?”

“This,” I say pointing to the little plastic stick on the counter.

“A pregnancy test? Have you looked at it yet?” he asks, more than a little stunned.

“Nope. I was waiting for you,” I tell him. “I need you to look at it first and tell me what it says.” He picks up the stick and looks down at it, then smiles big.

“We’re having a baby,” he says, setting the stick back down.

“Oh my God. Yes! Thank God! Yes! Wait, are you happy about this?”

“Fuck yes. What the hell do you think I’ve been trying to do this whole time?”

“I know but trying and succeeding are two very different things Marquise.”

“Damn right, I succeeded,” he says cockily. He pulls me into his arms and kisses me hard, turning me on.

“Take me to bed, Daddy,” I demand, and boy does he.

“Forever, Goddess. Forever.”Three Months LaterGetting ready the morning of my wedding is the most stress Marquise has allowed me since we found out about the baby, but this is a happy stress. I am running around like a chicken with my head cut off. Frannie and my other girls are all around helping me. The wedding venue, a ranch, is gorgeous and straight out of a western. Marquise gave me a crown that my hairdresser wove into my hairstyle. I also got to have henna done. I’ve always been fascinated by it and it looks amazing. Yesterday the five of us, Susan included, went to get manicures and pedicures done. After that, we went out for Mexican food. It was the perfect Bachelorette party with three out of the five of us pregnant.

“Okay, ladies,” I say gathering them around me. “I am so glad you are here for the beginning of this journey. I know Frannie gave you bridesmaids gifts yesterday, since she’s been the best Matron of Honor ever. But I have a little something for all of you, just to say thank you. Susan, thank you for being so welcoming,” I say handing her a large gift bag. Inside, she finds a robe that says Nanny. “That’s from Peanut. This is from me.” She pulls out a day planner that I had engraved with Mrs. Susan Roades on it. “For when you are First Lady and you need to plan a fancy party.”I gave Marquise his gifts yesterday so he could wear them today and I am wearing the diamond necklace he gave me months ago. Since then, he’s showered me with other lovely trinkets, but I’ll always remember the first one.

“It’s beautiful,” she says holding back tears.

“Don’t mess up your mascara,” I tell her as she hugs me. I give the rest of the girls some personal items I found on a sexy website and a black tote bag with their names embossed in gold glitter.

Suddenly it’s time to walk down the aisle and for the first time in all of this I realize I am about to do this alone. Then Kieran is waiting for me outside the amazing barn on site.

“You look beautiful, Chrissy,” he says. “I know that I am not your father, but it would be an honor to walk you down the aisle to my son. You’ll be like a daughter to me, like Frannie and the others,” he says wiping away a tear.

“I’d love that. Thank you, Kiernan.” I loop my arm through his waiting one and take a deep breath.

I am about to be Mrs. Marquise Roades and I can’t wait.Chapter Twenty-OneMarquiseThe WeddingI woke up this morning with my body aching and my heart beating. My mind is filled with the buzzing that comes from not being with her. Not touching her. And not feeling her under me, over me... next to me. My mom insisted that she stay the night at my parents’ house for a girl’s night with Frannie and Esther. My answer was a swift ‘Hell No!’. But as usual, my love persuaded me with her body and her devotion. So here I am on the morning of my wedding, waking up alone. Truth be told, I love kissing her tummy that is growing everyday with my daughter. Watching as her body changes, while she is nurturing and giving life to this blessing we created.
