I nearly laugh, but I push aside the urge. It takes far more effort than I’ll ever admit. That would be rich, getting the woman who wants to steal my house from me pregnant. Though to be honest, it wouldn’t matter who I got pregnant, my mother would be over the fucking moon that she finally had a grandchild.

The thought freezes me in my tracks, an idea blooming in my head. Aside from the obvious, that I’m glad Ally showed up here because of the mind-blowing sex, it’s possible that there’s an opportunity here that will benefit both of us.

If Ally agrees, I might be able to get the hulking shadow of my family off my back and get my inheritance back all in one go. All I have to do is make it worthwhile to her.

“I still hate you,” she mutters, still sprawled underneath me on the floor.

I grin into the bunched fabric of her dress. “Hate me all you want, Ally. You can’t fight this chemistry. Don’t worry, I won’t make you beg every time.”

“Every time? Who the fuck do you think you are?” She props herself up on her elbows. “And why do you think that we’re doing that again? We’re not. It was a one-time thing. Yes, it was amazing. But you’re right. We’re strangers. Now that we have … whatever that was out of the way we have a business deal to discuss. Nothing more. No more fucking.”

I grin up at her, very aware that I’m still incredibly close to her wet pussy. “I like that dirty mouth,” I say. “Though I think the other way you used it is better.”

She smirks in spite of herself, nose wrinkling up like she’s desperately trying to stop herself from grinning. Then she looks at me, eyes curious. “Why did you make me beg?” The question is soft and oddly vulnerable.

I don’t know that she’ll like the answer. “Because I knew that you would hate it, and that was what was driving both of us.”

“You are such an asshole,” she says, rolling her eyes.

I bring myself up and tuck my cock back into my boxer briefs, carefully standing up. I smirk down at her. “Maybe I am. But that doesn’t mean that it didn’t work. And that’s something that you can’t deny.”

She groans, but she can’t say anything because she knows I’m right. I limp into the kitchen and grab a towel to clean up my mess. And while I’m at it, I pick up the melting ice off the floor. As good as that was, I don’t think either of us wants our spontaneous sex to fuck up the hardwood.

Dumping the ice in the sink, I watch as Ally stands and finds the scraps of her panties on the couch. She blushes, and I like the way it looks on her. I could stand to see it more. Preferably while she’s moaning underneath me. Which is the current plan.

Ally walks into the kitchen and throws the ruined underwear into the trash, and straightens herself before looking at me. “Okay, we need to talk. Hopefully without yelling at each other.”

“You’re right,” I say, walking over to her and grabbing her arm. Pulling her over to one of the barstools, I force her to sit. She opens her mouth but I hold a finger to her lips. “Shhhh. We do have to talk, but I’m going to be the one talking, and you’re going to listen.”

Her angry glare is well worth it, and I can’t keep the smile off my face. This is going to be fun.

“You just sit here quietly because first I need some Tylenol.”5AllyMy mind goes blank from shock. The balls on this man! I’m a second too late to slap his hand away from my face. “Did you just shush me like a three year old?” I call after him as he hobbles over to a bathroom to find some painkillers. I’m beginning to think he’s laying it on kind of thick with all the limping around. Did I really hurt him that much?

He’s grinning like the Cheshire Cat as he comes back into the kitchen. He opens the refrigerator and grabs a beer. It’s late enough that I gather he’s done working on the house for the day. Actually, I doubt he’d even be able to do any more work today with that thing on his leg.

“What did we just say about no yelling?”

I narrow my eyes. “That was before you plopped me down like I was in time out and told me to shut up.”

“I didn’t tell you to shut up,” Caleb says, rolling his eyes. “I said that you were going to listen.”

“You really have a lot of nerve.”

“Ally—”

“No,” I say, raising my voice over his. “You think that because you’re rich you’re entitled to do whatever the fuck you want, well I’m here to bring you back down to earth. Normal people have a sense of decency and respect. They don’t just assume that people will listen to them whenever they want an audience.”
