Unexpected Fight (Unexpected Arrivals 2) - Page 26

I have to squeeze my thighs together to fight back the ache his words cause. These damn pregnancy hormones. Then again, I know better. It’s Tyler. One look at him and I want to strip naked and let him have his way with me.

“Two more weeks.”

“As long as you’re in my arms, I don’t care where we sleep.”

“Good. We can do your place tonight. I just have to run to mine and grab a few things.”

Reaching up, I place my hands on his cheeks, feeling the scruffiness of his beard. “I love you, Tyler Justice.”

“I love you too, future Mrs. Justice.”

“Reagan Justice,” I say, testing the sound of it.

“Fuck, two weeks is too far away.” He bends to kiss my neck.

“It will be here before you know it. Now, come on. I need food, and I need to get away from this bed before I change my mind.”

“As you wish,” he says, scooping me up in his arms and carrying me out to the truck. “Let me go lock up. I’ll be right back.” He jogs off to the house and locks up, and we’re on our way.

I don’t know what life has in store for us, but I do know that no matter what it is, having Tyler by my side means we can make it through anything. Maybe it’s the pregnancy hormones; maybe it’s just being high on the love we share. Either way, I can’t ever remember being this happy.

Chapter 16

Tyler

* * *

Two weeks ago, I felt like this day would never get here. Now, here I am standing with my wife by my side as we accept hugs and handshakes from our closest friends and family. I have to admit, waiting to spend the night here was a good idea. The anticipation of stripping her out of that dress and making love to her for the first time as my wife, in our forever home, is exhilarating.

It’s great to have everyone here at once, to see the house, and what we’ve done with it. We’re unpacked and settled. The only items we had to bring with us today were our toiletries. Everything else is here. We’re settled. This is home. The only room we have yet to decorate is the nursery. We’re waiting to find out the gender of the baby; something we both want to know. I can’t imagine having to wait another seven months. The anticipation would kill me.

“You two ready to cut the cake?” my mom asks.

“Yes, but first we’d like to say a few words,” I tell her, trying to make it sound as though it will only be thoughts of gratitude. They have no idea. Well, Dawn does, but the others have no idea the news we’re about to drop on them. I scan the room and see all the people who mean the most to us. All the guys are here, as well as Kendall and Knox. Dawn is standing with Mark, and I admit I’ve been so wrapped up in my life that I haven’t paid much attention to them. They seem pretty cozy. My parents, as well as Reagan’s, are here, our grandparents too. Then we have Carol, Josh, Tom, and Brenda. It’s been a perfect day, and it’s about to get better.

“My wife and I are so happy to have you here with us today.” The room erupts in cheers, and I take the opportunity to kiss Reagan, which only makes them grow louder. “Today is a special day as we start this new journey together and open up our home to those we care for most in our lives. Thank you for sharing this special day with us.” Murmurs of congratulations spread throughout the large living room. “I’m not much for speeches, but while we have you all here, we would like to invite you back here in about six and a half months give or take a day.” I look down at Reagan, who’s smiling up at me. “I love you,” I tell her, my voice loud and strong. I no longer have to hide what I feel for this beautiful woman. I’ll never get tired of telling her or the world what she means to me.

“What’s going on in six and a half months?” Kent asks.

With one arm still around Reagan’s waist, the other slides across her belly. There is a small bump that you would miss if you didn’t know to look for it. “We’re having a baby,” I answer, never taking my eyes off hers.

Suddenly everyone is talking at once, and I’m just about to quiet them down when Reagan speaks up. “Hold on.” She raises her hand and the room grows quiet. “I know you’re thinking that this wedding is because of the baby, and in part you’re right. I wanted to be able to fit into my dress, and I wanted us to be married when the baby’s born. However, we would still be here, maybe not today, but this would still be the outcome for us.” She’s telling them something they already know. Still today, my wife is having a hard time grasping this is our new forever. Good thing I have a lifetime to show her.

“Of course it would be,” my mom says.

“You’ve been dancing—” her mom starts, and the crowd finishes for her, “Around this for months,” they say in unison. It’s actually really creepy.

Reagan and I both chuckle. “We have,” I agree.

“So, can we hug you now?” my mother-in-law asks.

“And cake!” Seth calls out. “I was promised cake,” he says, and everyone laughs.

“Cake and hugs,” I agree. She should have known not to worry. These people are our family and friends. They’ve watched our love grow and to hear them tell it, they knew long before we did. That might be true, but I’d like to think we knew; we were just running from it. The good news is there is no more running for either of us. We’re on the path to our happily ever after, and I can’t wait to spend every day of the rest of my life loving her.

“I didn’t think they would ever leave,” I say, closing the door behind our parents. Our mothers insisted they stay and clean up, so we didn’t have to. While I appreciate the offer and the effort, I would have much rather had a messy house and a sink full of dishes if that meant stripping my wife out of her wedding dress. It’s not a traditional dress in the sense of all the white and lace, but it’s white, fitting, and there is a slit up to her thigh. So, yeah, I’m glad they’re finally gone.

“They mean well,” Reagan says, moving toward the living room.

“Oh, no you don’t, wife. Where do you think you’re going?”

“To sit down.” She gives me a look like she thinks I’ve lost my mind. Maybe I have, but it’s all because of her.

“Nope.” I bend down and scoop her up in my arms. “It’s our wedding night, and that bed is calling our name.”

“Oh, really?” She yawns dramatically. “I’m pretty tired,” she says, resting her head on my shoulder.

“Once I strip you out of this dress, you’ll forget all about sleep.”

“I don’t know. It’s been a long day,” she says, goading me.

Pushing the door open with my sock-covered foot, I step into the room. She gasps when she sees the candles emitting their soft romantic glow, and the rose petals spread out across the room.

“Tyler,” she breathes my name.

Reaching behind her, I find the zipper for her dress and lower it. With deft fingers, I slide it over her shoulders and watch as it pools to the floor. “You were right, you know,” I tell her as I reach behind her back and unclasp her bra. It too falls to the floor.

“A-About what?” she stammers as her chest rapidly rises and falls with each breath.

“Waiting until tonight to sleep in this bed.” I drop to my knees and palm the back of her thighs, pulling her close, breathing her in. “There is one thing that you didn’t anticipate.” My hands roam up her thighs, over her ass cheeks until I grip her thong, I hesitate, wanting to rip it from her body, but decide against it. It’s mine now. Something I will cherish, treasure always from our wedding night. This tiny piece of lace will represent the first time I ever make love to my wife. That alone is worth digging deep and finding restraint even I didn’t know I possessed.

“What’s that?” she asks.

“My need for you.” I lean in and kiss just above her pussy. “It’s our first time as husband and wife, and I should take things slowly, make love to you softly.”

“I-I like the sound of that,” she says, gripping my shoulders.

“I had a plan. I wanted to seduce you. Drive you wild with need.” I slide a

finger between her folds and hum deep in my throat when I discover how wet she already is.

“You’ve succeeded.”

“There’s a problem though,” I say, sliding one finger deep inside her. I watch as her head tilts back, and her legs begin to quiver. “Don’t you want to know what the problem is?” I ask.

“Problem. Right. What’s the… problem?” she pants as I continue to fuck her with my fingers.

“I’m barely holding on to my control,” I confess. “I want to bury my aching cock inside you and chase my release.”

“Let’s do that,” she says. Her eyes are closed as tightly as her grip on my shoulders.

“I’m supposed to take my time.” Her legs are shaking so badly I fear she’ll fall. After pulling my hand from between her legs, I lift her from her feet and place her on the bed. Her eyes pop open.

She watches me intently.

Stepping back, I unbutton my shirt, tossing it on the floor with her dress. She licks her lips, and my cock twitches painfully against my zipper. Making quick work of my pants, I slide them and my boxer briefs to the floor, and kick them to the side. Reaching down, I remove both socks, add them to the cluster of clothes on our bedroom floor.
