Thea released his neck and stood back. “Here’s the deal, Vik. Some information you provided saved my life, and Conall and I—”
Conall growled.
“Okay, I am”—Thea shot Conall a smirk before turning back to face Vik—“feeling a little benevolent toward you. Do what I want, and Conall won’t kill you.”
“Yet,” her mate grunted.
Wide-eyed Vik nodded. He’d do anything. Anything to stay alive a little longer. There was still so much to learn.
“Good.” Thea took a step toward him, her expression determined. “Because I’m looking for someone, Vik, and you’re going to help me find her.”
