I didn’t want them to be poor, for their sakes. It was hard as fuck, but at the same time, maybe it would be good for them. They’d have to rise on their own two feet, not the back of their father’s name. It seemed to be the direction they were headed for, so I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s what they did.

I pushed my door open, put my heels back on, and stood up out of my old, beat-up car. It looked out of place in the parking lot and I wondered if I should have parked it in the employee parking lot maybe. I didn’t want to embarrass the guys.

I decided it didn’t matter and walked into the lobby of the hotel. It was very expensive, as I knew it would be, and went up to the desk. “Hi, I’m Nicolette Howell. Have the Rome brothers checked in yet? I’m expected by them.”

“No, miss, not yet. It shouldn’t be too long though. They left instructions to give you a key and send you up to their suite.”

“Oh, good.” I didn’t know what else to do, so I stayed silent as he did his thing with the key card and then gave me instructions for the elevator. It was much the same as the hotel in Vegas.

This hotel didn’t have as many floors as that hotel, but it was still pretty high. It took a while to get to the top floor and when I did, all I could do was gape. It was a very open space, with a small roof-top garden, a lounging area, a small, walk-in hot tub, and then the house that they’d called a suite. It was mainly glass, and the only rooms that had any kind of privacy were the bedrooms and bathroom.

This was going to be fun.Chapter Twenty-OneI went into the house and looked around for where it would be best to sit. I wanted to be the first thing they saw when they walked in. The place was decorated in whites and light wood tones, a relief from the cold grays of the other hotel. I liked the place, but I preferred light over dark when it came to decorating a house.

From the door, I could see that the swivel stools at the bar that separated the kitchen from the living room was the best place to sit to make an impression. I opened the fridge, took out a bottle of ginger ale that I found in there, and sat down in the black and metal seat.

I heard a sound outside and looked out to see the fellas coming out of the elevator. I smiled what I hoped was a seductive smile and crossed my legs as Michael opened the door. Always the one to lead.

His eyes all but glittered as he spotted me as they walked in. His walk was loose, his face pleased as he came into the house to greet me. “Hello there, beautiful.”

“Hi,” I said, almost shyly. I looked away, down at the floor, to hide how nervous I was before I looked back up. The others now stood beside him, ready to greet me too.

I got up from the stool and walked over to them. I didn’t expect a group hug, or to be passed from one to the next after that, but that’s what I got. I laughed with joy as I got to the end of the line and found myself in Tristan’s arms.

“Hi there,” I said softly and kissed him again.

His arms went tightly around me as he pulled me close, his mouth hungry for mine. Desire flared to life, but Michael broke us up with an amused chuckle.

“Come on now, we promised we’d feed her before we took advantage of her, guys!”

“I had breakfast,” I said and went back to kissing his brother.

“You might have, but it’s time for lunch. Come on. We ordered food for all of us and we should eat. It’s going to be a long afternoon. And night, and maybe even early morning. We have the hotel for two days, though, so if you want an extra night here you can stay,” Michael informed me with a wink.

“No, I have to get home to spend some time with my Mom. She’s taking a break from the dentist tonight.”

“Good, you need some time with her. Have you told her about us yet?” Daniel asked as we all filed out to the lounging area outside.

“No, she’s been so busy, so I’ve not had time to,” I told him. It was something we’d all talked about. They weren’t pressuring me, it was just that I wanted to tell my mom for my own reasons. They were curious about how it would go.

“I think she’ll be okay with it, from what you’ve said,” Daniel encouraged me and took a seat beside me at the round glass table. It was big enough to seat us all and in the shade.
