He walks over to the bathroom sink and leans against it. We’re at his apartment at the top of one of the towers he owns. The bathroom is fairly spacious with a wide double sink and two mirrors over the vanity. There’s a full shower stall a few feet away and everything is polished to a fine gleam, mostly because I made sure this place got cleaned top to bottom this morning.
He stares at the floor for a second and I have to frown. I’ve never seen Leon frazzled in my life. Normally he’s totally controlled, but this…
“I need your help.” He looks up at me and I swear, his eyes are almost…
Pleading?
And did he just… ask?
“Uh, okay,” I manage to say. “Why are we in the bathroom again?”
He blinks and shakes his head. “No time. Listen, I need you to do something for me. If you can do it, I’ll pay you.”
“Pay me?” I clear my throat. “Don’t you already pay me to do whatever you need?”
He glances away, almost like he’s embarrassed.
I think I’m going insane. I’ve never seen Leon embarrassed, let alone ask for something or offer to pay me extra or…
It’s times like these that I wish I would listen to the little alarm bells that go off in the back of my head. See, I swear, most people hear it when the alarms go off. Most people listen to the blaring, screaming, shrieking alarms that say Pull up! Pull up! Something’s wrong here! Except I’ve never been able to.
Probably part of why I’m still working for this man.
“What is it?” I press.
His beautiful crystal green eyes turn to mine and I swear I feel a chill run down my spine.
“I need you to fake an orgasm for me.”
I blink once, twice, then smile stupidly. “Are you joking?”
“No,” he says. “Sadly, I’m not. If you’re willing to fake an orgasm for me, right here, right now, I’ll pay you ten grand.” He reaches into his jacket pocket and pulls out a checkbook.
“Do you just carry a checkbook around?”
He waves that off. “I’m serious, Paige. I need this. I know it’s crazy but it’s important and we don’t have time. Can you do it?”
“I mean…” I trail off.
Can I do it?
I think so. I think I’m capable. I’ve had boyfriends in the past, you know, boyfriends that weren’t exactly… capable or experienced. Boyfriends with fragile egos. So sure, yeah, maybe I faked it once or twice, but that’s no big deal.
It’s better just to fake it and move on than have to explain myself a million times. It’s not you, it’s me, blah blah blah, although of course it’s always them, at least mostly.
“Can you do it?” he presses. “Convincingly. Not some porn star screaming. Can you make me believe you’re coming right here in this bathroom with me?”
I blink rapidly and I can feel my cheeks turn red. Suddenly I’m picturing Leon’s hands all over my body, his insanely attractive lips inches from mine, his soft but still somehow firm lips grazing my neck, his fingers lifting my dress, his body pinning mine against the wall as he takes…
I shiver and have to look away. “Right now?” I ask in a soft voice.
He comes closer to me, staring at me like he wants to rip my dress off. “Right now,” he says gently. “I need this, Paige. Please. If you can’t do it, I might lose this deal, and…” He trails off. “Ten thousand dollars for one fake orgasm. Or we can make it real, if that’s what you need.”
I shake my head so fast I swear I nearly break my neck. “No, no, I can fake it. I can fake it.”
“Okay,” he says softly, putting the checkbook down on the vanity. He looks at me and we just stare at each other in silence for a second. “Whenever you’re ready.”
I look away from him, blushing furiously. This is insane. I mean, absolutely insane. How does me faking an orgasm help him with this business deal? Clearly it’s important if he’ll pay me ten grand for it… and holy shit, ten grand. That would be huge.
I really could quit then. I could quit and walk away from him. One fake orgasm, and I’ll be free.
I can’t do it, though. As we stand there in silence, his eyes staring at my body, I can’t do it. I want to, I want to moan and groan and gasp and scream his name so convincingly that I actually do finally get off, but I’m too embarrassed, there’s too much pressure.
He steps closer and we’re inches apart. “Paige,” he says softly, almost a whisper. “Oh, shit. That’s good.” His voice is pitched low, almost a groan. He lets out this gentle grunt and it almost startles me.
I bite my lip and meet his gaze again. I can feel excitement pooling between my legs as I picture what he’d be doing to me right now if this were for real.
