“I don’t understand. Are you saying you can read my mind? Understand my thoughts?” she asked quietly as his fingers stroked her hair gently.
“No. I’m not saying that. I’m saying that I can feel your emotions. I know when you’re content, and I know when you are in pain. Right now, you are confused, and I don’t understand why.”
She was quiet, not wanting to explain, but he coaxed her on, urging her to tell him everything that was on her mind.
“I’m afraid,” she said finally.
“Afraid of what?” he asked.
“Afraid that all of this is just some sort of fantasy, that one day you will snap out of it and realize I’m just some woman who tried to help your rival take down your family.”
Olcan looked down at her, his gaze softening as he took her in and smiled. She wondered just how much of her he could feel, but she needn’t wonder for long as he put his hand on her racing heart.
“Don’t be scared of me, Niamh. I promise you that there will never come a day when I don’t love you. We’ve been through the worst of what can happen between us, and we’re still here, together. There is nowhere for us to go but into the future, a future together.”
She nodded, knowing he was right and knowing that it was just her insecurities. He kissed her softly and started to move away, but she stopped him.
“No, please.”
“I thought maybe you need some time.”
“I need you,” she replied, pulling him back to her and kissing him hungrily.
He tangled his hand in her hair, pulling her to him and kissing her back with equal fervor before moving down to kiss her aching skin again. She felt it sing along her nerve endings and end in an ache between her legs, a solid desire to have him inside her. He took his time, teasing every inch of her skin until she begged him for relief.
“My girl is impatient, huh?” he teased, twirling a single finger around her navel.
“Aye,” she sighed against him.
“How much do you want it?” he whispered.
“More than I know how to put into words,” she told him, her speech coming in short gasps as his hand moved between her legs, his fingers slipping into her wet folds.
“Tell me.”
“I want you inside me. I need every inch of you.”
“I love hearing that come from your lips,” he said, positioning himself above her.
She let out a gasp as he entered her, his girth dividing her in half as he began moving inside of her, so slowly that it felt maddening. She wanted all of him, hard and fast, fucking her, giving her every inch of him.
“Harder,” she begged.
“Not yet. Not just yet,” he told her, still taking his sweet time and driving her ever closer to the point of no return.
She mewed and moaned beneath him, her hips rising to meet his, desperate to feel his power inside of her. He groaned, finally giving in to her and slowly increasing until he was fucking her in long, deep strokes.
Her nails dug into his back, clinging to him, pulling him into her as their bodies bounced back and forth against one another. The room was filled with a symphony of their love noises as they got closer to orgasm and finally exploded against each other in almost perfect unison.
Olcan collapsed on the other side of the bed, breathing heavily as if he were completely winded. She could relate as she felt like she had nothing left to give. Rather than the usual series of orgasms he gave her, she’d given it all in one huge explosion. She lay her head against his chest and twirled her fingers idly in his chest hair, sated in every way she could imagine.CHAPTER TWENTY-FOUROlcan
“I’M GOING TO HAVE TO leave you here for a while. I’ve got business at the office. There will be plenty of guys outside to keep an eye on you, but you can’t leave the house—not today.”
“Not like I have anything to wear anyway. My entire wardrobe consists of a diner tablecloth and a matching set of your boxers and a white tee shirt.”
“Ah, yes. Your suitcase is somewhere in Florida, I’m guessing. I’ll get that tracked down for you. In the meantime, I’ll have a girl from the office call you. Her name is Frances. She’s an intern, and she’ll use our account to go find you whatever you ask her for. Get whatever you need, and in a few days, when I can be sure it is safe for you to be out and about, we’ll go shopping.”
“Okay,” she said.
He could tell she didn’t care for the idea of having someone else pick out her stuff, but it was the best he could do for now. He kissed her on the cheek and smiled.
