Bound to the Alpha (Alphas in Heat 1) - Page 15

Thoughts of Ethan and how he spoiled me in bed last night are swirling through my mind as I pour a coffee and take the note over to the couch.

You, my love, are more desirable than a cup of morning coffee

- Love your possessive mate

I laugh as I put it in my pocket to add to the box with the thousands of others he’s left me over the years.

The lake looks too tempting, so after my coffee, I head outside, grab my kayak, and lug it down to the water.

Ethan gave it to me last Chris

tmas and I absolutely love it. It’s the best way to start the morning. Well, second-best after having Ethan between my legs.

I’m paddling across the lake and when I get to the middle, I spot my papa bear coming out of the woods with my four little cubs beside him.

Ethan’s protective bear spots me immediately and he doesn’t take his eyes off me.

“Good morning!” I shout to my cubs who take a little longer to find me. When they do they rush into the water and start swimming over.

Ethan goes in last, but he quickly passes them and arrives at my kayak first. His bear is all grunts and snorts as he swims circles around my kayak.

“Thanks for the wonderful morning,” I whisper as I ruffle my hand through the fur on top of his head as he swims by. “I’d choose you over my morning coffee too.”

My little grizzly cubs catch up and soon I have five bears swimming around me. I pet each one of them and each one brings a smile to my heart. I love my furry family so much it hurts.

“Let’s head home,” I tell them, “and I’ll make everyone chocolate chip pancakes with whipped cream.”

This gets their attention and my four little ones head straight for our house. Ethan stays right beside me as I begin to paddle home.

My protective bear likes to keep me close by.

I smile as I watch him trying to swim straight while he keeps his eyes on me, and a couple of times, I accidentally smack him in the head with the paddle when he strays too close.

He doesn’t seem to mind. I seem to be able to do no wrong when it comes to him.

Parker, my oldest, is the first one onshore. Then Amelia, Jake, and then my youngest, Jessica.

One by one, they phase back into their human forms and then race up the steps into the house to get a seat at the table.

My furry grizzly chaperone looks over at me and I smile at the amazing world we’ve built together.

I cherish the past, I’m excited for the future, and I’m ready to start another amazing day with my little furry family.

The End!
