“Thanks for the invite, Shepard,” I have no clue who any of these fuckers are by name. I've heard of a few of them, of course, but I couldn't tell you who's who. “Would be easier to talk if you let us through the gates.”

“You know that ain't gonna happen. You were asked here to talk things through, not act like you could take on the Snakes and win.”

Trigger growls at Booker so loudly; I can hear it all the way in the back.

“I see you've taken over, Trigger.”

“Yeah,” He smirks at Shepard. “Once Click disappeared, we figured we'd have a clean through. The Coyotes are under new management, and that means Alison is under new management. Meaning, she belongs to me. Now, hand her over.”

“Over my dead body!” Kong has his shotgun pointed straight at Trigger. That man has to be insane if he honestly believes we'd hand Alison over like she was nothing. She's Kong's girl, meaning she's now a Snakes girl, and that means she's under our protection. Permanently.

“Hello, Elliot. I wondered when I'd be seeing you again, little brother.”

Every Snakes Henchmen's eyes shoot to Kong. Each one of us is shocked by what we've just heard. Trigger has to be at least fifteen years older than Kong. However, he could look so much older because of the drugs he's so obviously been taking for Christ knows how long. For all we know, these two could be twins!

Kong's eyes and shotgun are firmly only Trigger, not an ounce of nerves to be seen. “You are no brother of mine. We ceased to be family when you joined those Coyote fuckers! You are dead to me. If you die here today, it will mean nothing to me.”

Trigger doesn't even flinch. He just folds his arms across his chest and smirks, eyes still on Kong.

“What the fuck, Kong? Why didn't you tell me about this? How did I not know you were related to this filth?!”

“I'm sorry, Prez. I know now that I should have told you. I haven't seen Eric since I was fourteen. He joined those assholes a few days after Click killed my dog and fed him to me. I didn't even see Eric at my parent's funerals. He was nothing to me then, and he's nothing to me now. Believe me, Prez, I have no connection of any kind to him. Eric is just some pathetic asshole threatening our club. I am proud to be a Snakes Henchmen, you guys are my family, and no one threatens us!” Prez gives Kong a firm nod.

“Come on, Shepard, give me what's rightfully mine, and we'll leave your club in peace.”

“Hi!” Oh, no! “I haven't seen you fellas around here before.”

“What the fuck is your kid doing?” Booker hisses. Shepard doesn't answer, his eyes are wide and staring right at Nova as she flirts with Trigger and his boys. One young woman in the middle of a bunch of drug fulled biker bastards, not an ounce of fear showing.

“Prez, open the gates, please. I know she shouldn't be here, but please, I can't risk anything happening to her.” Tank is almost on his damn knees begging, but if Shepard opens those gates, and those men walk through, all hell will break loose.

Nevertheless, Shepard reluctantly nods his head at Lion, who slowly opens the gates.

“Come through,” Nova tells the Coyotes. “Leave your bikes outside though. I'm not sure they'll all fit with so many of you out here.” She giggles, swinging her arms innocently. Trigger smirks at her, and I realize Nova clicked what kind of girl turns him on the second she clocked eyes on him.

“What the hell is the meaning of this?”

“Is that any way to treat your guests.” Nova laughs at Shepard.

“I'll make you a deal, Shepard. Kong can keep Alison...” He grabs Nova's are and pulls her against him. She giggles. “And I'll take this one in her place.”

“Over my dead body!”

“Stand down, Tank!” I don't know what Nova's game is, but Tank isn't standing down. Nova is his wife, of course, he's going to want to kill any man who touches her.

“She belong to you?”

"Fuck no!” Nova yells with a mocking laugh. “I used to be his girl, but we broke up months ago, he just can't seem to let go. I don't belong to anyone.” Trigger points his gun at Tank, and Tank points his at Trigger. It's nothing but a damn cockfight.

I block out the yelling, arguing, and the threats, my eyes drawn to the identical twins right at the back of the Coyotes crew. They're using sign language and look like they'd rather be anywhere other than here right now.

I tip my head at Ace, the only one of us who knows sign language thanks to his grandmother. He moves closer to me. “The one on the left,” He whispers towards me. “Don't want to be here. He didn't sign up for this, and wants out.”

Interesting. They don't look like they take drugs, nor do they look as old as Wrench. They had to have known what they were getting themselves into joining the Coyotes, though. Every fucker knows their reputation.

“The one on the left is trying to calm the other one down. Wait, what the fuck is Nova doing?”

I have no idea what Ace is talking about. I crane my neck to see her walking towards the clubhouse with Trigger. What the fuck did I miss?

“I'll be a couple of minutes, boys, and then we'll be off. Nice doing business with you, Shepard.”

Tank takes a step forward, Hammer holds him back, and no one says a damn thing. I think we're all shocked at what's going on.

“What the hell did we just miss?”

“Nova exchanged herself for Alison,” Roman tells us. “She has something up her sleeve, she always does. Don't have a damn clue what yet, but it won't be good.”

“We didn't want any of this, Shepard.” A tall Latino guy says. I'm guessing he's the Coyotes VP. “Trigger told us this would be simple. We'd attend the meeting you set up; we'd get everything squared away, then we could sort the mess Click made of our town and club.”

“Yet you elected a president as bad as the one before.” The Coyote prick turns his eyes to Booker and reluctantly nods his head.

“If anything happens to my wife...”

“Your wife?”Tank bares his teeth. “Jesus Christ, you have no idea what kind of man Trigger is.”

“I do,” Kong speaks up. “I know exactly what Trigger is like, and what he likes to do to women. I also know what Nova is like, and I know who I have my money on right now, and it ain't Trigger.”

“What are you fuckers up to? Why have you willingly let that woman walk off with Trigger? We all know what you fuckers are about. There's no way you'd have let that happen.”

I see the smirk rising on Hammer's lips. His eyes lock with mine for a second, and I can't help smirking with him. We both know, hell, we all know she's going to kill Trigger. It's only a matter of time before she walks out that door without so much as a scratch on her.

“Lucifer,” Of all the clichéd names – at least now his name. “Dylan's freaking out.”

Lucifer sighs. “The Lawson twins,” He tips his head to the identical twins. “Dylan and Damion. Dylan is deaf and mentally retarded in a way that makes him think and act much younger than his twenty-two years.”

Thank God my mother wasn't here to hear him call Dylan retarded. She'd have shot him in the balls for using that word to describe anyone.

“Damion joined us six months ago, but Dylan followed him around like a lost puppy. We would never have brought him with us for something like this, but Trigger forced Damion to bring him along. We all know that was to keep Damion in line. He can be a bit of a loose cannon, so Trigger uses Dylan against him all the damn time.”

“Jesus Christ,” CueBall barks.

“Prez,” Ace makes his way over to Shepard. “The kid shouldn't be here. He's scared out of his mind.”

“You're their VP, Lucifer, can't you let them go home?”

“I can't go against Trigger. No matter how much I want to. Although,” Lucifer looks over at the twins, waving Damion over to him. “Take them.”

“What?” Jett runs his hands through his hair.

“Damion is a good kid, too good for us. He doesn't belong with us and never did. Damion belongs with a club

like yours.”

“You can't send them home, but you can palm them off on us?”

“I'm trying to do what's right for them, Booker. Someone has to. They have no one, no family, just each other. Damion,” Lucifer clasps Damion's shoulder, Dylan hovers right behind his brother.

“What's up, Veep?”

“How would you feel about becoming a Snake?”
