It took me almost the whole hour to do my hair, makeup, and get dressed. As it got closer to one, I rushed to the elevator in the theater, holding my shoes in my hand. The gown’s train trailed behind me. I felt just like Cinderella running through the halls of her prince’s castle.

You look great. Don’t be nervous.

Once I put my shoes on, I took out the key, sticking it in and twisting. A green light came on as a beep sounded. The elevator’s black doors slid open. Sighing, I stepped inside. There was only one button on the wall that had roof written in gold. I pressed it. The doors closed. The elevator rose.

Holy shit. Holy shit. Holy shit.

All types of possibilities spun in my head. Only God knew what Gio had in store. With his resources, he could take us anywhere. He surely didn’t lack in imagination when it came to romancing me.

I’m glad I didn’t let Ru get to me. He’s wrong about Gio. He’s been nothing but amazing to me. He’s not like the other guys in the industry.

Thinking of Ru, I pulled my phone out of my purse and turned it on. I had twenty-three messages and even more texts. I checked the texts first and they were all from RU. Most of them asked where I was. The rest told me to call him immediately. The last line had me a bit worried.

RU: If you don’t contact me today, I’m going to call the police.

I sighed and texted him back.

ME: I’m fine. Gio took me away for a few days. I’ll be back.

RU: Where are you?

ME: Salt Lake City.

RU: Call me right now!

Annoyance spread over my face. I knew they were just words and I couldn’t tell his emotions, but I didn’t like how aggressive and frantic he was being. Sure, I hadn’t come back since last night, but twenty-four hours hadn’t even passed. He was acting like I’d been missing for a week.

The elevator carried me up to the roof, and I didn’t want to spoil Gio’s surprise by talking to Ru on the phone.

ME: I’m busy. I’ll call you later. I’m fine. Relax.

I shut the phone off.

The elevator doors slid open. Cold air slipped across my bare shoulders. Gio stood in front, holding a jet-black fur coat in his arms. His face was chiseled. His hair styled slick and back. His tuxedo was one of the most expensive I’d ever seen up close. It had a rich blend of Cashmere wool and silk. And even crazier, tiny diamonds outlined the lapel. It didn’t look gaudy or outrageous. It was elegant and stunning.

All I could mumble was, “Wow.”

“I knew the gown would be beautiful on you, but I didn’t know how much you would outshine it.” He curved his lips into a wicked grin. “You look captivating. Stunning.”

“Thank you.” I stepped off the elevator.

He helped me into the fur coat, letting his fingers linger along the curve of my neck. “I have an exciting day planned.”

“You’ve already blown me away with your surprises.” I twisted around and looked at him. “I feel like the luckiest girl on the planet.”

“Good. That was my intention.”

The snow had stopped falling. Still, a freezing chill rode the air. However, the cold didn’t take away from the beautiful view on the roof. Tall sleek buildings spread throughout the city and far beyond lay the Rocky Mountains topped with snow.

“It’s pretty out here.”

“One of the best views of the city.” Gio gestured behind him. “Let’s go.”

A helicopter was parked on the roof. Two men dressed in black sat in front with headsets on.

I turned and headed that way.

“No.” He stopped me, tenderly grabbing my arm and pulling me to him. His body pressed against mine as he leaned over my shoulder and whispered. “I want this to be the first of many days we spend like this. You’re making me crazy. I couldn’t think of spending any moment without you.”

My breathing shifted to panting. I turned my head slightly to the side. “I feel the same way too.”

“And this gown looks so beautiful on you.” Hunger dotted his words. “I hope I can behave myself today. I want to show you around, but I also want to tear this gown off you.”

My heart beat a million miles a minute as I gazed into those gorgeous eyes. “You can’t tear off the gown.” I rubbed my breasts against his chest. “I’m not wearing any panties underneath it.”

He groaned and slipped his gaze all over my body as if he could see through the silky fabric. He entwined his fingers into my hair and leaned down, bringing my face to his. At first, he nipped at my bottom lip, but then he consumed my mouth, sliding his tongue in and out, driving me mad. His hard length pressed against my thighs. My nipples strained against the gown’s corset. My breasts threatened to spill out.
