The mirror shows me a very beautiful woman. Megan, seeing me ready, gets excited like me.

'You are the most beautiful bride of all times,' she says.

At last, we are ready to go to the kirk. I wonder if Calem is also ready. It turns out that he also is. He is standing by the castle doors, together with Sloan, waiting for me. He smiles when he sees me, and I can see a look of admiration in his eyes. He also looks very handsome today, a bit different than he is on other days. He is wearing his best tartan kilt.

Together, we leave the castle and go towards the wedding carriage, which is decorated and very beautiful. I and Megan get in first, and then Calem and Sloan get in with us. There are a couple of other carriages, too, for the guests. When all the carriages are full, we start going to the nearby kirk. I am so excited that I cannot talk. I just look out of the window, as if seeing the outside for the first time in my life. I know that today I am getting married with the love of my life, and that our love will last forever.

After going some distance, the carriages stop, and we get out. We still have not reached the kirk, as there is a short walking distance to it. Megan is the maid of honor, and Sloan is the best man. The fiddler leads the way, followed by Calem, who is accompanied by Megan. I and the best man go after them. Sloan's cousins follow us to the kirk.

I know that if we want to have good luck, we must cross streams on our way to the kirk. I remember that when we walked to the kirk during Megan's and Sloan's wedding, we crossed streams. There are two small streams on our way, too, which makes me happy. I am not too superstitious, but I do want to have good luck in my marriage. We cross the streams and walk forward. The kirk is not far from here, and I can already see it. My heart starts beating faster, as I realize that the wedding ceremony will take place soon. Calem turns to look at me, and I wave at him. He smiles widely. Megan goes with him. As she also turns around, this time Sloan waves at her. Everyone is equally excited.

The Pipers are already at the doors of the kirk when we arrive. They start playing the beautiful songs until all the guests arrive.

'The ceremony is starting, get into the circle,' Megan says impatiently. I look at her and nod. I am so excited that I am just going with the flow, trying hard not to forget what I am supposed to do. It is good that I have my sister around – she will tell me what to do.

As the ceremony starts, I and Calem draw a circle around us and stand in the circle for the unity with God.

We start saying the words in prayer:

'The Mighty Three, my protection be, encircle me. You are around my life, my love, my home. Encircle me. O sacred three, the Mighty Thee.'

'Now enter the kirk, it is time for the Nuptial Communion and the blessing of the food,' Megan whispers to me. I and Calem enter the kirk for the continuation of the ceremony. The entire process is so beautiful and breathtaking, that I cannot believe that this is happening to me and Calem.

When the ceremony at the kirk is over, we get out of the kirk, Calem holding my hand, and he whispers in my ear:

'You are my wife now, my sunshine.'

Even though I know that I am his wife, his words make me smile even wider.

'I know, and I am extremely happy about it,' I reply in a whisper.

We all get into the carriages and return to the Bedigalhall Castle for the dinner. Ainslee, Skena, and the other maids have been working since early morning for the wedding dinner and the cake, and now everything is ready. We all get around the big table in the great hall for the toasts.

'First of all,' Megan's voice is heard. I turn around and see that she is standing, while everyone else is sitting down. 'First of all, I want to congratulate the newlyweds. And then, I want to announce, that I am giving Elsie this property, as her elder sister,' she adds.

I raise my eyebrows, as thrill fills me.

'I want you to be the owners of this castle, Calem and Elsie,' she continues. 'And live here.'

I also get up.

'Meg, are you sure that you want to give this property to me? It belongs to you,' I ask her.

'I am absolutely sure, my dear sister,' she says, and everyone applauds. 'I live with my beloved husband at our castle. I am the lady of the Domnhall Castle,' she adds, when the applause stops. 'It is a pity that this wonderful place does not have a laird and a lady to look after it. Since today, it has.'
