“Argghhh.” There he goes again.

Fuck.

Shit on a damn duck.

My hips stop, and I fall off him. I didn’t even get halfway there. This totally blows. I get off the bed and walk out to find my dress. After slipping it back on, I grab my purse.

“You leaving?” he calls, not bothering to get up.

“Yep,” I yell back with a shake of my head.

“I want to see you again,” he says.

“Ummm…” I look toward the door and pull out my phone, messaging for a cab. “We will see.”

He walks out, naked, and leans on the wall.

What’s with the cocky look?

He really shouldn’t be after that performance.

Holden has a great body but is terrible in the bedroom. At least if he knows that fact, he should try to make the women come first. Gosh, it wouldn’t hurt him to eat some pussy, would it?

“I really like you, Rylee.” My shoulders slump as a message from the cab company comes through, telling me it will be a few minutes.

“I’m not looking for anything now, okay?” I tell him with a smile. “Have a good night, Holden.” I walk out, closing the door behind me.

I don’t want to live a life of making my own orgasms. That would suck.

A lot.

I want a man to at least try and make me come before he takes his pleasure.

Honestly, he makes Anderson look like a king in bed.

I call Rhianna. It’s late, but she can’t sleep lately with how far along she is.

“Shouldn’t you be in someone’s bed right now?” she asks as soon as she answers. I look back to his building as I speak to her. “That’s a negative, thank you very much.”

“Oh no, is he an asshole? I swear he’s always nice to us.”

“No, he isn’t. But—”

“But what?”

“Rhi, it literally takes him thirty seconds and he comes,” I tell her quietly in case anyone can hear me.

She starts laughing. Hard. I stand there and wait for her to finish as my cab arrives and with a sigh, I get in it.

“Are you done yet?” I ask her, now I am on the way back to my apartment.

“Hold on.” She keeps laughing and eventually, her laughter dies down. “Okay, I’m done.”

“Bitch,” I say into the phone.

“Don’t you know it.” She starts laughing again. “But seriously, give him a chance. It can’t all be about the sex.”

“It’s a big part of it,” I reply.

“Okay, well, maybe he can improve.”

“Nope, not happening.” I end that conversation right there and now.

“You just compare everyone to…” She doesn’t say his name. “Anyway, you should stop that.”

“Easier said than done.”

“Go home and play with your Jimmy Bob. I’m sure he’ll know how to get you off.”

“He does. And he does an outstanding job all by himself.” I smile. “But I’m tired, so I’m gonna go and pass out.”

“Good. Beckham doing okay with Winter?” she asks. “I don’t know why you let him babysit. It’s funny, really.”

“They love each other, and she has fun with him.”

“Yeah, but he’s out every night doing God knows what.”

“Not when he has Winter,” I tell her, smiling. Our mother says the same thing, but Winter idolizes Beckham, and I love their bond. It’s unique and something I will always protect, no matter what the cost.

“I know, he loves her the most,” she says.

“I love you the most,” I reply.

“I know. Okay, enough of my jealousy. I know it’s because of her,” she says, meaning Paige. Winter does look a little like Paige. But that’s not all of it. When I had freak-out moments when she was little, I couldn’t call Rhianna because she had a baby as well. It wouldn’t have been fair. So I called Beckham. And he always came. He will always come because he is my brother, and we love each other.

“I’m almost home. Can I get Beckham to pick Summer up on the way before he drops off Winter?” I ask.

“Which car does he have?” she questions, knowing his love for cars as well as we all do.

“Mine.”

“Yes. Can do.”

“Rhianna.”

“Yeah?”

“Leave him alone about women.” She chuckles then we hang up. She always gives him shit about his harem of women. One time she walked into his apartment, and he had two women naked on the couch.

Well, needless to say, he will never live that down.

Chapter 14

Rylee

I ended up going home and trusting Jimmy Bob to finish the job Holden could not. Bob never lets me down. Apart from that one time when his battery died. That was awful. Bob left me hanging on a cliff I just couldn’t fall over, even with my fingers.

I sit at the café as I watch the two girls run in and out of the play area. Rhianna is due back today after I had Summer the night before. Holden tried messaging me. He even tried calling the next day, but I declined both attempts. I’m not sure what to say to him. So, it’s better left unsaid.
