Jeff grabbed my hips. “Oh god…you feel like heaven, baby. ”

I didn’t want to rush it, but something snapped, and I just let loose. I wanted it deeper…harder. I threw my head back as he reached around and grabbed my ass.

The next thing I knew, I was having one of the most intense orgasms of my life. I couldn’t do anything but call out in pleasure.

I didn’t even realize when he’d flipped us over, so he was on top. I grabbed on to the edge of the bed and arched my back to get more of him inside me.

“Harder, Jeff! Oh god! I’m going to come again!”

I couldn’t believe what I was feeling. It was amazing, and it felt like it could go on forever. I called out his name as he called out mine.

Lying there, holding each other, we both caught our breaths.

“I love you so much, Arianna. ”

This overwhelming feeling of love just swept over my whole body. I ran my hands through his hair as I started to cry. He pulled away and wiped my tears as he smiled at me.

“I love you, too, Jeff. I love you so much. You have no idea how much. ”

He lowered his lips to mine, and he kissed me so slowly and sweetly. “I do, baby, because I feel the same. ”

When he rolled off of me, he pulled me to his side. My breathing finally started to settle as I drifted off to sleep, next to the only man I’d ever loved…the only man I will ever love.

Chapter Thirty-Six

I still couldn’t believe how wonderful this evening was turning out to be. Scott and I had danced together most of the night. When we weren’t dancing, we were sitting and talking about horses, me moving back to Mason, and Josh and Heather’s wedding. He’d even asked if I wanted to drive to South Padre Island with him.

I looked around, but I couldn’t find Dewey or Aaron. Dewey wouldn’t leave without me. He’s my ride. I reached for my cell phone and hit Dew’s number.

“Hey, little sister! You gettin’ you some tonight?”

What in the hell is he talking about?

“Stop being such a dick, Dew. Where in the hell are you? This place is closing up, and I can’t find you anywhere. ”

Dewey started laughing. “Damn that Ari. She told me you were riding home with Scott, so I left over an hour ago, Jessie. I guess Ari thought you were getting some tonight, too. ”

My heart dropped to my stomach. Oh. My. God. I’m gonna kill Ari!

I watched as Scott walked up and shrugged his shoulders. He’d gone looking for Dewey outside. I smiled and shook my head.

“Okay…well, I’ll be sure to have a talk with Ari tomorrow. Thanks, Dew. ”

As I hung up, I felt the heat rising in my cheeks. What if he doesn’t want to give me a ride home? It’s not out of his way since he passes the Mathews’ place on his way home…but still. Shit, Ari!

“What’s wrong, Jessie? You look like you’re going to be sick. ”

“Um…well, it looks like I have no ride home. Dewey left. Ari had told him I was getting a ride home with you, but I can have him come back and pick me up. ”

Scott’s face lit up, and for one brief moment, I was happy that Ari had pulled this stunt.

When the DJ announced the last song, Scott reached for my hand. “One more dance?”

As we walked out to the dance floor, Garth Brooks’s “To Make You Feel My Love” started playing. I felt like I was going to start crying. Why do I care about him so much? I just keep hurting myself.

He pulled me into his arms, and we slowly started to dance. I’d never danced with anyone who two-stepped so gracefully. My heart was beating so hard and fast that I was sure he could hear it. As we danced, he held me closer, and I dared to let myself believe he might be interested in me.

I fit so perfectly against him as he held me while we danced. All five foot three inches of me was wrapped in his strong arms. As the song started to come to an end, he pulled back some and looked into my eyes. I lifted my chin, and before I knew what was happening, he kissed me. I didn’t mean to do it, but I let out a moan as he bit down on my bottom lip.
