“Room service, Mr. and Mrs. Mathews.”

Gunner poked his head out of the bathroom. “Did you order room service?”

Shaking my head, I grabbed my robe and put it on. I slowly opened the door and smiled. “Um…we didn’t order room service,” I said.

The young man’s face blushed, and he looked away quickly. “It’s from Ari, ma’am,” he said.

I tilted my head and looked at him. “Ari?”

“Yes, um…so, yeah…okay…well, enjoy your stay, Mrs. Mathews.” He quickly turned and began walking away.

“Oh, wait…a tip,” I called out.

He turned and smiled big. “Mrs. Johnson paid me handsomely. No tip needed.”

I shook my head and pulled the cart into the room.

Gunner came up behind me and wrapped his arms around me. “What’s Ari up to? Jesus, did she order enough food for an army or what?”

I shrugged my shoulders and lifted the two metal pans at the same time. I let out a gasp as Gunner began laughing his ass off.

“Damn, that girl was always my favorite of your friends,” Gunner said as he picked up the handcuffs and winked at me.

I looked back down and saw a brand-new vibrator, a Victoria’s Secret bag, and massage oil.

My mouth dropped open, and I turned to Gunner. “Oh. My. God. Do you think she paid that poor boy to go out and buy this stuff?”

Gunner really lost it, and he started laughing even harder. He pulled me to him as I began giggling.

“I can’t wait to get you back here this afternoon and have my wicked way with you.”

I felt the heat move between my legs as my stomach clenched. I wanted him to have his wicked way with me right now. I looked up and tilted my head down and batted my eyelashes.

“Oh no, get dressed, sweetheart. I have a full day planned for us.”

Gunner pulled into the parking lot of the Magnolia Café. I smiled as all the memories came flooding back to me. Gunner, Jeff, Ari, and I used to come here all the time for breakfast. It seems like it was just yesterday.

I slid into a booth, and Gunner slid in next to me. His arm brushed against my body, and I couldn’t believe the butterflies that took off in my stomach. I smiled as I looked down at the goose bumps covering my arms. I loved that his touch still affected me the way it did.

Gunner looked at me and asked, “Tea?”

I nodded my head and sat back, letting my husband take control.

“We’ll both have a cup of hot tea, two of the house special omelets, and a cup of fresh fruit, please.”

I watched as the waitress practically eye-fucked my husband while he gave our order. Gunner didn’t look like he was in his mid-thirties at all. He still ran every day, and his body was beyond amazing. His perfectly tanned skin was always so soft. I smiled as I thought back to when Gunner had first taken over the ranch, and Garrett had told him that sunscreen was the next best thing to a woman. I glanced up at the waitress who seemed to have just noticed me sitting there.

She smiled and looked back at Gunner. “I’ll have those teas as well as two glasses of water right out.”

“Thank you,” Gunner said.

He placed his hand on my knee, causing me to jump a little from just his touch.

He looked at me after the waitress walked off and smiled that damn crooked smile of his. “Did I scare you, baby?”

I shook my head. “No, your touch seems to be driving me slightly crazy today.”

His eyes lit up, and he leaned closer to me as he whispered into my ear, “Too bad I had you put jeans on. I bet I could have driven you even crazier by giving you an orgasm right here in the booth.”
