Broken Dreams (Broken 2) - Page 28

I buried my face into his bare chest as he ran up the stairs. I was nervous as hell but so incredibly excited.

“So strong, Mr. Moore,” I said with a chuckle.

He laughed as he pushed open the bedroom door. Reed was staying in the second master bedroom that was almost as amazing as Layton and Whitley’s bedroom. He walked over to the sitting area and sat me down on one of the oversized chairs. He reached for a blanket and put it over me.

“I don’t want you getting sick. Give me two seconds to get the shower going.” He kissed me on the nose and took off toward the bathroom.

I watched as he walked away, wishing I had pulled off his towel before he turned away from me. I threw my head back against the chair and tried to calm my beating heart.

Oh my God, what he just did to me with his mouth was amazing. The way he’s treating me like a princess…please, God, please don’t let this be a dream.

I heard the shower start up, and I slowly smiled. I’m about to take a shower with Reed. My stomach did all kinds of weird dips and dives, and I threw my hands up to my mouth to keep the scream buried inside. Oh. My. God. I’m about to take a shower with Reed! With excitement, I started moving my legs up and down so fast that I was sure if Reed were to walk in right now, he would think I was having a seizure. I closed my eyes and quickly said a prayer that I wouldn’t fuck this up.

I didn’t hear when Reed walked back up, but I could feel him, smell him. He always smelled so damn good, and it drove me insane when he got too close to me. Then, I felt his lips on my neck, and I let out a small moan.

“Reed…I’m so afraid I’m dreaming right now, and if I am, I don’t want to wake up,” I whispered.

“Oh, baby, trust me, you’re not dreaming,” he whispered back as he moved away from me.

I quickly opened my eyes, wanting to plead with him to keep kissing me. He held out his hand, and I pushed the blanket off of me as I took his hand. He helped me up and started walking backward toward the bathroom.

“Let me prove to you that you’re not dreaming.” He used his other hand and pulled off his towel.

I could finally look at him in the light and take it all in. I looked at his perfectly toned body and licked my lips. I tried pulling my eyes away to look back up into his eyes, but I couldn’t.

Oh, for Christ’s sake, Courtney, stop staring at his dick! It’s not like you’ve never seen one before!

Right then, he sneezed, and I snapped my eyes back up to his.

He whispered, “Damn dogs.”

I smiled. “I’d say God bless you, but”—I looked down at his dick again and then back up at him—“it appears he already has.”

The smile that spread across his face caused me to giggle. He pulled me to him and slammed his lips against mine as he quickly began undoing my bra. I hardly even remembered that I was still in my bra.

When he pulled away, he looked right into my eyes. “My God, I love you, Courtney. I love your smart attitude, your sense of humor, and your breathtaking blue eyes that captured my heart the first time I ever looked into them.”

He stepped back and let my bra fall away. His eyes traveled up and down my body in a greedy way, and I felt the blush hit my cheeks. I’d never had anyone look at me the way he was, and I felt embarrassed and so sexy at the same time.

He took both my hands and walked us into the shower. He grabbed the soap and the washcloth and started to soap it up. He began washing his body as I stood under the hot water. I took the soap and washcloth from him and took over cleaning his body. He closed his eyes, and I bit down on my lip as I moved my hand down to his dick before I began stroking it.

“Shit, Court, don’t do that, or I won’t be able to make love to you.”

I quickly stopped and smiled. He still had his eyes closed, and I wanted to jump up and down from knowing how I was making him feel. I internally hugged myself before my eyes landed on the tattoo on his chest. I used my finger and traced it.

“My heart,” I said.

His eyes quickly opened, and he whispered, “Yes.”

I chewed on my lower lip, trying to get the courage to ask him about it.

“When I finally realized who my heart would always belong to, I got this tattoo. I’ve never told anyone what it meant, except for Layton. I didn’t know you knew Latin,” he said with a smile.

I nodded my head. Who does his heart belong to? I remembered he had been with Anna when he got this done, and I instantly began feeling sick.

“I, um…grew up Catholic, and my parents insisted I learn Latin, so I began studying it when I was twelve.”

He let out a small laugh. Then, he took his finger and placed it on my chin. He lifted my head up until I was looking into his eyes. They were so beautiful and blue right now.
