The music changes and the three of us stand up a little straighter. Our triplet senses binding us together in this moment.

Clara comes out first, her father beaming down at us as he walks her down the aisle. I don’t have to peak at Ben to know he’s tearing up, and I’m pretty damn close, too.

He inhales at the sight of Clara. She’s beautiful, and I’m so happy for my brother. Felicity stands up and hugs Clara before she makes it to Ben. We all wonder what she’s going to do, but my niece is perfect. She goes right back to her seat. My parents are beaming at her as if she just solved all the world’s problems.

Emma’s next. Her mother walks her down the aisle. Just like Ben, Axel inhales deeply at the sight of his bride making her way to him. Felicity rushes up and gives her mom a hug.

My heart beats a little faster, knowing Shayne’s next.

And then, she appears. My breath hitches. Everything else disappears and my inhale matches the ones my brothers had done when they saw their brides. Shayne’s flanked by her brothers, Slade and Trace. They both gaze at her with pride.

She’s beautiful. I can’t believe I’m the lucky man she’s agreed to marry. I’ll be sure to cherish her each and every day.

Shayne smiles at me, and my heart skips a beat. I’m so glad I made the decision to make her mine.

When all three of us have our brides in front of us the officiator starts. I try and pay attention to what he’s saying, but I keep getting lost in the sight of Shayne. She smiles and rolls her eyes before mouthing the words, ‘pay attention.’

All three of us get kicked by our future brides when we don’t answer a question right away. The crowd gives a laugh when we get caught. I guess I’m not the only one paying more attention to the sight in front of me than what’s being said.

We each say our vows, binding ourselves together and binding our family together.

When the officiator finally gives us the ok, in unpracticed movements, although, you wouldn’t believe it if we told you, the three of us dip our brides and kiss them until their toes curl.

“How much longer do we have to be here?” I ask, kissing the back of Shayne’s neck. Her hair is pulled up in some intricate bun giving me full access to her neck.

“You’re not enjoying your wedding reception?” she asks, pretending to be offended.

“I would enjoy it more if there were less people. And, by less people I mean just you and me.”

“Soon, my husband.”

“Uncle Damien, come dance with me.” Felicity has her hands up in the air and waves them above her hair. Lacey and Sindy are next to her, showing everyone on the dance floor how it’s done. Trace and Slade are at the bar, working their magic on two girls who look dazzled from their attention. My parents are talking to Clara’s dad, and Emma’s mom, and if I didn’t know better it appears Janet’s taking a liking to Clara’s dad. Interesting.

“See, you would’ve missed out on dancing with your niece,” Shayne says, breaking into my thoughts. “And, there’s cake later.”

“Auntie Shayne, come out too.”

The six of us circle around Felicity as she dances her little heart out. By the end of the night, everyone has been pulled out on the dance floor by little Miss Felicity, who’s now sleeping under one of the tables on top of a tablecloth.

“I’m going to take Felicity home,” Janet says, kissing Emma on the cheek.

“Ok, Mom. Thank you.”

“I’m going to carry Felicity out, and then head out too,” Clara’s dad says, leaning over and kissing his daughter goodbye. I catch his eye sending him a wink, making him blush.

Slade and Trace left minutes later each of them with a girl on their arm. “Those two better not make me an aunt,” Shayne says, watching her brothers walk away.

Instead of leaving the reception, we decide to be unconventional and close the party out. The three of us each have rooms at the same hotel, and we’re leaving on our honeymoons in two days. The girls insisted we honeymoon together, and I’m kind of glad they did. Even though I don’t plan on seeing my brothers at all in the next week.

“Are you ready?” I ask her when it’s just the six of us swaying on the dance floor.

“Yes, I get my wedding present.” Shayne smiles.

“I get my wedding present, too,” Emma and Clara say at the same time.
