I nod okay. Kiss her softly. Release her.
Sienna watches her sister move to her bedroom. "We're not really going to talk about soccer, are we?"
No. Of course not.
"You seem honest, Ty, but I've had enough experience with men to know better." She lowers her voice to a whisper. "Indie doesn't talk about you much. She doesn't talk about what happened three years ago. When she does, she insists it was for the best that you left. That it was the only thing that made sense. I know it was your agreement, but it broke her heart."
It did?
"The entire semester after… she wasn't herself. And by the time she was, Mom… she's done a lot. Stepping up to take care of me. And she's lost a lot. She needs someone who will stick around, who will take care of her."
"I'd like to."
She stares into my eyes, assessing my words. "I believe you. That you think that. But this… she's different than she was three years ago. But I see the same things. That same giddiness. Don't hurt her again."
"I don't want to."
"Did you want to the first time?"
No. Of course not. "You don't forgive me?"
"Of course not. But it's not mine to forgive." Her voice rises. "I don't care if you have the world at your fingertips, Ty. I don't care if you can crush me like that—" She snaps. "If you hurt her, I'll ruin you. Even if takes years. Even if it takes everything I have."
She looks to the bedroom as Indigo rises. Moves toward the door.
Sienna turns back to me. Holds out her hand. "Understand?"
"I appreciate your loyalty." I shake.
She smiles good, releases me, turns back to her sister. "So, really, forward, huh? Do you drag people running too? I think Indigo might kill me if I take her on another run. Though, honestly, she's so slow, it's not even exercise."
"Talking about me?" Indigo crosses the room. She gives her sister a hug. Whispers something in her ear.
Sienna laughs. "Of course. I asked for the exact inches."
Indigo turns bright red. She releases her sister. "We'll get dinner. The three of us. After your finals."
"Why don't you come with us?" I ask. "Tonight."
Indigo shoots me a really look.
"If that's okay with you, Indie," I say.
"Ooh, impromptu invite." Sienna laughs. "That doesn't seem like your style, Ty."
"I know when I meet someone I'd like to get to know."
She smiles ah, two can play that game. "I haven't eaten."
"It's late," Indie says.
"Just dinner," I say. "Then we'll go for drinks. The two of us. Somewhere private."
Her eyes flare with desire.
"That was not as sly as you think it was." Sienna laughs. "But, yeah, please?" She presses her hands together. "I'll even put on a dress."
"How much will your cousin flirt with her?" Indie asks.
"There's a hot cousin!" Sienna fist pumps. "Yes. I'm coming."
"Did I say he was hot?" I ask.
"Hmm… yeah, he might be ugly. I'd introduce ugly family members first too," she says. "Even so." She turns to her sister. "If you'd rather I not c-block you, that's okay."
Indie smiles. "No. It's okay." She turns to me. "Does she have time to get dressed?"
"Fifteen minutes," I say.
Sienna nods hell yes. "Why don't you guys, uh, go wait in the limo. I'll meet you there." She winks.
Indigo shoots her sister a look. "You don't need help?"
"Please." She hugs her sister. Whispers something in her ear. Then she winks at me. Disappears into her room.
Indie squeezes my hand. "She likes you."
"Does she?"
"I can tell." She leads me out the door. Down the stairs. "Is your cousin hot?"
"He does well with women."
"Are you related to anyone who isn't hot?"
I shake my head.
She smiles. "I had a feeling." She stops on the sidewalk. Turns to me. Pulls me into a tight kiss. "Fifteen minutes isn't enough time."
"Are you sure about that?"
Chapter Eighteen
Indigo
Maybe it is enough time.
Fifteen minutes.
That's ten minutes longer than I take when I'm alone.
And I've certainly had fucks that finished faster.
Never with Ty.
But if I climbed into his lap and begged him to fuck me now—
Maybe.
He helps me into the limo.
I cross my legs.
My phone buzzes against my thigh.
Sienna.
Ty chuckles. "Is she really texting you?"
"Yes."
Sienna: OMFG HE IS SO HOT.
Indigo: Get dressed.
Sienna: I'm multi-tasking.
Indigo: What are you wearing?
Sienna: Save that for him.
Indigo: You know you can't walk in heels.
Sienna: I have strong ankles.
A laugh spills from my lips. "She wants to gossip about you now. Since she'll have to wait until later."
"What does she want to know?" he asks.
"I think she's working up to cock size."
He chuckles. "You can tell her."
My cheeks flush. "I don't think so."
He moves closer. So his knee brushes the outside of my leg. The rough wool of his slacks against my bare thigh. "What's her number? I'll text her."
"Really?" I ask.
He nods. "I'll answer her questions."
"No details."
He raises a brow.
