“You’re worrying,” he chided gently. "Don't worry. I've taken care of everything.”

“Have you decided what I'm going to look like?”

“That's for the surgeon and you to decide, but it will be a total transformation of your face. He’s not touching your body. That's perfect as it is.”

She smiled a little at the compliment, but the prospect of losing her looks forever, being transformed completely into another woman weighed heavily on her mind.

“Can't I just wear a mask or something? Masks are in right now.”

“Masks come off.”

“What about latex?”

“Sophie, I know this is frightening, but the truth is, this isn’t about cosmetic surgery. This is about starting your life over from the beginning. There can be nothing left of you. Not for anybody.”

“Have you already picked a new life for me?”

“Actually, yes. Your first name will still be Sophie.”

“Wow. Change my face, keep my name?”

“You’re most likely to forget your new name, to fail to respond to it, or to default to your old name through force of habit. Keeping your first name the same minimizes that greatly. It also minimizes the dysphoria one experiences with such a radical shift.”

“You’ve done this before, haven’t you," she said keenly. “You know all of this because you had a different life…”

“That’s a reasonable assumption to make,” he said, neither confirming nor denying. “Now, your last name will be Rosu. You’re going to be a Romanian heiress.”

“How will that work? There’re records of most rich and famous people. They can’t just appear out of the woodwork.”

“Let me worry about those details. You need to concentrate on truly becoming Sophie Rosu. You will need to learn to speak Romanian.”

“Oh, just learn Romanian? Sure. No worries.”

“Sarcasm won’t help you now. Studying will. You’re smart, Sophie. That's why I know you’ll survive this.”

“I don't know…"

He tipped her chin up with his fingers and made her look into his eyes.

“I do," he told her firmly. How amazing it must be to have that much certainty, to just know that you were right about everything.

He leaned in and pressed a gentle kiss to her lips, which deepened into a much more intense embrace, and then to her being pulled across the seat by his powerful arms and positioned over his lap, her thighs straddling his cock, her panties slid to the side to feel the hot, hard ridge of his free dick running along the length of her nervous pussy.

“You’ll still be my girl,” he told her. "You'll be more mine than ever. Every feature of your face will belong to me. You’ll be carved in the image of my desire…"

This was sick. This was wrong. But it was also necessary, and she was grinding her hips along the tempting ridge of his cock, distracted by the masculine pleasures of her corrupt billionaire lover, the one who held her life in his hands — and her ass, as it happened.

Alex owned her. She’d known the moment he rescued her from Christo that her life was no longer her own. What she hadn't known was that her body was no longer her own either. And if she went along with Alex’s plan, her body would no longer be, well... her.

Her fear melted as Alex drew her down on his cock with artful, practiced strokes. There weren't many men on the planet who could make fucking in the back seat of a car feel exclusive and classy, but Alex made everything seem better than it really was. He elevated the ordinary into the extraordinary, and she was along for the ride.

Grunting, moaning, and flushed, her brilliant billionaire lover ravaged her thoroughly all the way to the plastic surgeon’s consultation office.

Chapter 20

Sophie looked at her face for the final time. The hospital gown was uncomfortable and drafty. It was also the only thing keeping her anchored to the present. On some level, she couldn’t believe what was happening. The surgery was about to go ahead. She was about to have her face peeled off like Nicholas Cage and replaced with something unrecognizable to anybody.

She’d still be the same person on the inside, probably. But there were no guarantees. She’d been changing ever since she started working at Apex. That place had twisted her around its little finger.

Now she was lying in a hospital bed, on the verge of the biggest change she would ever undergo.

“Tell me it’s going to be okay.”

“It’s going to be okay,” Alex told her, sounding like he meant it. “I’ll be right here when you get out.”

But it wasn't going to be okay. She was going to be forever changed. She was losing the only part of herself that made her feel like herself. The next time she looked into a mirror, she was going to be confronted by a stranger.

“Time to go," the surgeon said. “We're going to put you out now. You won’t feel anything.”
