About This Book
Step 1: Go to college. Check.
Step 2: Find a job. No luck.
Step 3: Start a family. Whoa, one thing at a time.
Alicia Chambers was stuck on Step 2. No matter how many resumes she sent out, she couldn’t find a job in her dream field: phone app development. It seemed like most successful apps were started by a single inspired person in their basement, including the most recent craze, Monster Go.
If only Alicia could find her own inspiration for an app...
Drawn into the game (research, she told herself), she meets a mysterious stranger who also plays. He's perfect for her: rich, handsome, and nerdy. However, despite formerly being in app development himself, Jacob seems to have left it all behind.
Between romantic dates and catching monsters in the game, Alicia finds herself growing closer to the mysterious man. But it turns out he has more to do with this game than he told her. When she learns something that he deliberately kept hidden, will she flee his secretive life?
Will she let him know her own secret- that she's carrying a little gift from all their time "playing" together?
We sipped our wine and Jacob moved his hand gently up and down my lower back. I looked toward him, admiring the way the sunlight blanketed his face. He smiled when he caught me looking.
“You’re cute,” I said.
He leaned in and kissed my cheek. “No, you’re the one who’s cute.”
I caught his face in my hands, and then angled in to kiss him. I had meant it to be a fairly quick kiss, something playful yet more than a peck on the check. But, when he kissed me, it quickly turned into something else.
Heat coursed down my spine, sending tingles of desire through my nerves. Jacob felt it too. He kissed me harder, pulling me into him with his hands and his mouth. I went from simply wanting a kiss to wanting so, so much more.
Panting, I sat back and pulled my hair from my face. I didn't want to be too forward, especially not since the other day where he had turned me down. If he wanted to keep going slow, I could do slow. It was respectful and honorable.
I liked that, but I was ready for a little speed. Respectful and honorable were overrated.
Moving slowly, I brought my hand to his arm and crawled into his lap so that I was straddling him.
I pressed my chest out a little, wanting him to notice. When I did, his eyes moved down my front and then back to my face. His pupils dilated slightly, despite the fact that they were almost in direct sunlight.
He brought his mouth to mine, filling me with the taste of his lips. There was passion behind the kiss that made me heating. There was no way I was going to be able to back off again if he kept this up. I wanted him.
In between my legs and underneath the front of Jacob’s slacks, I felt something that hadn’t been there when I had first straddled him. His cock was already firm and pressing against me. I could feel it through my jeans. It was the sexiest thing to know that he wanted me as bad as I wanted him.
I kissed him again, and this time I found myself grinding down on the bulge. Jacob let out a guttural moan as I guided my body upward along his length. When I broke the kiss, I notice that the expression on his face had changed. He looked at me with wild eyes and licked his lips. No words needed to be exchanged. We both knew what we were feeling. It was an unspoken thing. We wanted each other and clearly we were going to take what we wanted. We were done waiting.
Jacob’s hands drifted down my thighs and landed on my rear. He pulled me upward, sliding me along his length once again. My body tingled with delight and heat started to surge .
“Upstairs?” he asked.
I nodded, unable to speak coherently…

I Choose You
Chapter 1
This is going to hurt, I thought as I hurtled through space.
I wasn't quite sure what had caught the toe of my shoe, but somehow the floor was quickly coming up to greet me. It would be less than a second before my entire body slammed into the floor of the restaurant entryway, which was conveniently made of very hard-looking tile.
Just don't break anything, I prayed, holding my hands out, hoping that my arms would be strong enough to break my fall. It was going to be ugly and there was nothing I could do about it. I was inches away from colliding, when a pair of strong arms caught me around my waist and pulled me back up into a standing position.
“Careful,” a man's voice said. The voice was calm and his hands were strong.
I was still wincing in anticipated pain as the stranger held me. I had been expecting to hit the floor, so it took me a second to realize that I had just been saved. His hands were on the top of my waist, holding me steady with a firm and safe grip.
“You okay?” he asked, not yet releasing me.
“I think I'm fine,” I said, my voice shaking slightly. “You saved me.”
“I just happened to be standing here when I saw you taking a dive,” he said, making sure I was steady before letting me go. “It was all luck.”
“Thank you,” I muttered, feeling my face turn hot from embarrassment. I looked over at him to see he was gorgeous. He was tall with dark hair and an amazing smile. Even his glasses looked sexy. I looked down at the floor, suddenly shy.
Of course it woul
d be a gorgeous guy who would catch me when I was about to face-plant. That was just how the world worked. I could feel the blush starting to burn I was turning so red. “That was a little awkward. It's these darn heels.”
The man chuckled and shrugged. “Glad I was here to help. You have a nice day.”
“Yeah, thanks,” I said, trying my best to smile and not make eye contact. Luckily, he turned and walked away before I had to say anything else. I rubbed my arms, suddenly missing being held. It was a strange sensation, especially since the guy was a stranger. The feeling faded quickly as I took a deep breath. I smoothed my shirt and hurried to catch up to the rest of my family who were already at the hostess stand getting checked in.
