Home to You - Page 25

“It’s… been a while,” I pant.

“Not here,” he says on a growl. “We don’t talk about that here, in my bed, when I’m buried balls deep inside you.”

“Just you,” I tell him, trying to soothe his ruffled feathers. I don’t tell him that Chloe is a reminder to me every day that he was with someone else, married to someone else. My fault that I left, but I’m back, and I want them both. I want to spend the rest of my life with him. I want to help him raise his daughter, and with any luck, we’ll be blessed with a few more of our own. I want it all with him. I can see our future just as clear as I could all those years ago, until I got the letter from Juilliard. This time, I’m not a young girl with big dreams of the spotlight. This time I’m a woman who just found the missing piece of her soul wrapped up in the only man she’s ever loved.

“Hey.” He stills. “Where did you go?”

New York. “I’m right here,” I assure him.

“This moment changes things, Haven.”

“I know.” I nod.

“I won’t let you go again. Not without a fight.” I can hear the conviction in his voice. He means what he says.

“I’m not going anywhere.” Just like that, the decisions I needed to make for my future are clearly written before me. This is my home. Here in Hope, Idaho. The small town I grew up in, and the first man to ever have access to my body will now be the last. This is what I want out of life. Not the grueling sixteen-hour days, the backstabbing, the feeling of constantly having to watch over your shoulder. No, I want giggles from little girls, dinner at the park, and I want to make love to the man who owns every single piece of me.

“I-I can’t hold off much longer,” he grits out. “Fuck, you feel incredible.”

“Faster,” I pant, as I feel my spine start to tingle. I’m close to euphoria that only Sebastian can bring me. It’s only ever been him. His pace quickens, and so does my grip on his back as my nails dig deep. “Sebastian!” I cry out his name as waves of pleasure roll through my body like liquid fire.

His hips jerk once, twice, three times until he too is calling out my name as he loses control, releasing inside me. Spent, he rests his forehead against mine. We’re both panting, trying to suck much-needed air into our lungs.

“I love you, Haven.” His lips press against mine.

My breath falters as I let his words sink in. Staring up at him, I know that I feel the same way. It’s always been him. “I love you too,” I reply as he pulls out and stands. “Come on, baby. We need a shower.”

I don’t argue as I allow him to help me from the bed. I’m relaxed and zoned out. All I want to do is curl up in his arms and sleep. Little did I know that’s exactly what he had planned. We take the fastest shower ever, before sliding back into his bed, naked and with still-wet hair, and burrow under the covers.

“This is what I’ve been missing. It’s always been you,” he murmurs, kissing the top of my head.

“I’m home.” No truer words have ever been spoken. It’s not Hope, Idaho, that has me feeling at home. No, it’s the man with his arms wrapped around me in a cocoon. It’s his adorable little girl who also owns a piece of my heart. Wherever they are is where I want to be.

This is my life.

They are my future.

Chapter 7

Sebastian 7

Best night of sleep I’ve had in ages.

Waking with Haven in my arms before the sun even rose was like heaven. My cock thought so also and was all too eager for a repeat of last night’s activities. So I indulged once more until we were both panting and exhausted, sated and happy.

Now, the sun is up and so am I. I have to leave for work in less than an hour, and I want to feed Haven before I go. She’s still curled up in my bed, her naked body tangled in my sheets. The view is pretty fucking spectacular. It’s why I’m still wearing a smile as I flip the second batch of pancakes.

“Something smells amazing,” Haven says through a yawn.

When I turn around, she’s wearing one of my Hope High football T-shirts. The view is even better than seeing her in my bed, because now she’s in my clothes. And now my cock is completely hard and ready to play.

“You didn’t have to get up. I was going to bring it to you,” I tell her, trying to ignore how fucking amazing her bare legs look so I don’t scorch the food.
