I wish I could say the same for me, but I haven’t changed all that much. Dane doesn’t allow “diet food” in the house and if anything, I’ve only gotten bigger. But Dane loves my body. And now I do too. For once, I feel confident and sexy in my own skin. I know it’s going to take a lot more time to undo the body-shaming I dealt with for so long, but with Dane’s help, I know that I’ll get there.

As soon as I hear the spray of the shower, I leap out of bed and wrap myself in his favorite robe. Normally, I’d join him in the shower for another quick session, but I want to surprise him today.

I pad into the kitchen and start putting breakfast together. Nothing makes me hungrier than coming hard on Dane’s huge cock, and before long I’ve got waffles, a plate of fresh fruit, and scrambled eggs with tons of cheese, salt, and ketchup. It smells heavenly and my mouth is watering.

When Dane emerges from the bedroom and sees the plated breakfast, he smiles.

“I should fire the cook,” he growls as I hand him his plate. “This looks incredible, baby.”

I smile happily and pop a fresh strawberry into my mouth. “Thanks,” I reply. Nothing feels better than getting praise from Dane. “But I’ve still got a lot to learn.”

Dane reaches over and playfully tousles my hair. “You can work on honing your skills when I’m in Dubai.”

My smile fades and I look down at my plate. Dane takes my chin in his hand and tilts my face up, forcing me to meet his sapphire-blue gaze.

“Baby girl, it’s just for three weeks,” Dane says soothingly. “You know I’ll be missing you every second of every day.”

“I just don’t want you to go,” I say morosely. “I want you here. Dane, I already miss you so much when I’m at school, and that’s every day!”

Dane chuckles, loving my declaration. “Honey, I know. But this is the cost of runnin

g a business. We’ve been doing so well, and the Dubai office really needs to hit the ground running if I want to attract new clients.”

I swallow and force a smile on my face before nodding. “I know,” I say meekly. “I’ll just miss you.”

Dane gives me a wicked smile. “Well, good,” he says. “You can use your time to study. I know finals are coming up.”

Biting into my waffle, I nod again.

Dane reaches under the table and squeezes my thigh. “And I want you to send me some nude pics,” he says with a wink. “It’s the only way I’m gonna survive being so far away.” I blush. Oh god, my man is so dirty and I love it all.

“I will,” I breathe. “Promise.”

Dane grins again. “That’s my girl. Besides, baby, this is temporary, I swear. You don’t need to worry about anything.”

I bite my lip. “I know,” I say softly, taking Dane’s hand in mine and squeezing. “You take good care of me, always, no matter where you are in the world.” He shoots me a thoughtful look.

“What is it, then?”

“I just don’t want you to go. Or rather, I wish I could come with you?” I add with hope in my eyes.

Dane lifts my hand to his mouth and kisses my fingers. “Finals, sweetheart,” he says. “And if you do well, I promise we’ll go on a big trip this summer.”

“Okay,” I say. Still, I can’t help pouting. I know now that Dane would never stray, but I don’t love the idea of him running around Dubai by himself either.

“Just remember to take care of yourself,” I say firmly. “I know you survive on energy bars and coffee when I’m not around.”

Dane chuckles. “Baby, without you, everything tastes like sawdust.”

I blush.

“I know what you need,” Dane continues. “You need a day out.” He smirks. “I’m going to take you shopping and spoil you rotten all day long.”

Despite my sadness, I smile widely. “You don’t have to do that,” I protest. “You spoil me enough as it is!”

Dane smiles mysteriously again. “Impossible,” he says. He finishes the last of his breakfast and takes our plates to the sink. “Come on, get dressed,” he says. “We’ve got a lot of money to spend.”

Hanson drives us to Henri Bendel and Saks, where Dane blows an obscene amount of money on shoes and bags for me. Even though I’m used to Dane going all out, this seems extreme.
