Gage came to the office door when he didn’t hear anything. He leaned against the doorjamb, crossed his arms, and watched her. He realized he could have stayed there all night and just looked at her. She was so beautiful.
“Is everything okay?”
Brylee’s head jerked up, and she straightened in the chair. “Yes. Larkin had to go to dinner.”
“You can talk to her tomorrow,” Gage told her.
Brylee stood and walked around the desk toward him. She stopped when she stood in front of him. He could tell something was bothering her when she was biting her lip and wringing her hands, so he waited.
