Cole's Mistake (Haven, Texas 8)

“Oh, don’t worry. I have no plans of ever returning. So long as you fucking promise never to pull them into your sick games again.”
Julian froze. He was here for them? Why?
“Keira and Julian are here because they want to be. They recognize their needs. Too bad you’re in denial over yours.”
“Do not fuck with me right now, Joel.”
By now Julian had both of Keira’s ankles free and had moved to her wrists. But his attention kept flicking back to the brothers and he gasped as Cole grabbed Joel’s shirt, gathering it tightly in his hands.
“Julian? Is that Cole?” Keira asked him, her eyes searching his face frantically. She tried to turn but her wrists were still caught. If she kept pulling, she’d hurt herself.
“Yes, baby, it is. Just stay still, let me get you out of there.”
Around them, people had stopped all play to watch the drama unfolding. God, Cole was going to hate this when he realized he had an audience. Julian knew how much he liked his privacy.
“Let me go, Cole. Now!”
“Gladly!” Cole shoved him back as a number of other Doms stormed closer, ready to back Joel up.
Julian was grateful. Even though he was bigger than both of them, he had no desire to get between them. No desire to choose. Because he didn’t want to side against Cole, not when he felt so drawn to the man. But he was in the wrong, and Joel had been nothing but good to them.
By now he had Keira free and was helping her off the bench.
“What the fuck were you thinking, bringing them into your depravity?” Cole roared at Joel. “You fucking sick, perverted ass
hole.”
Joel’s face remained calm but there was a fury brewing beneath the surface. Keira gasped as she saw Cole. He looked completely unlike the composed, cold man they worked for. His hair stood up on end, he’d discarded his suit jacket and his shirt was half-untucked.
“Leave. Now. Or I’ll have my men make you leave.”
Cole scoffed. “Not man enough to do it yourself, little brother?”
Joel took a step towards his brother. Julian knew their relationship had been strained for a while. There were plenty of gossips at work only too eager to tell everything they knew about the two handsome brothers who hated each other.
Julian tensed. What would he do if someone laid a hand on Cole? His entire being screamed at him to protect the other man. Cole might be more dominant, but Julian was bigger. He knew how to protect his own.
Cole isn’t yours.
“Don’t fight! Please!” Keira called out. She was shaking as she leaned against him. He wrapped his arm around her.
Screw Cole. If he wanted to storm in here and make a scene, then why should Julian care? If he considered his own brother depraved for his desires, then he must think that about them as well. Or did he seriously think Joel had somehow tricked them into being there tonight? That he was some sort of bad influence on them?
They weren’t fucking children. They were capable of making their own decisions.
Cole’s gaze moved to Keira and softened. “Keira. Julian. Grab your stuff. I’m taking you out of here.”
“Keira and Master Julian are going nowhere,” Joel stated.
Julian frowned. Okay, now he felt like a pawn in their game. He didn’t like that either.
Joel turned to them. “Unless they wish to.”
“I think we should go home,” Julian said, staring between them both. There was no way either of them could get any joy from playing now.
Their first night at the club, ruined. Thanks to Cole. Anger surged through him as he glared at the other man. Cole scowled back.
“Grab your stuff,” Cole barked. “You’re coming with me.”
