“Sorry, Clover. This is Rosie. She’s married to our other cook, Roger. She normally has manners.”
“You normally don’t bring women here.”
“Touché. Clover’s going to be out on the floor today, but she still has some paperwork to fill out for me.” I turn to her and say, “Baby, come fill the forms out now. I want you on the floor for the rush.” She looks at me suspiciously because she already filled them out the other day.

“When you said on the floor for the morning rush, I didn’t think you meant this,” I tease as he pounds into me. My legs press on the wooden surface, hands in his hair, tugging hard as my body welcomes him.
“Fuck, I can’t take the way men look at you. You’re not on any menu that they’re privy to,” he snarls, sucking on my neck until I’m moaning out. He’s most definitely marking his territory after pulling me in when Mr. Gardner joked about asking me out.
“Only yours,” I promise. I didn’t make it to this age as a virgin because I was prudish. I made it because I wanted the happiness I saw with my parents.
“Yes, only mine,” he grunted, dragging out my orgasm while pumping his into me. We lay in a mess on the ground. Luckily, the door’s locked and the rush passed.
“Do you think they heard us?” I ask, suddenly embarrassed.
“Frankly, I hope not because your orgasms belong to me. Let’s go wash up, though.” He pulls out of me, and we both groan because his thick cock is still stiff as fuck. He stands, and like a snake thief, I wrap my lips around the tip, sucking off a little of our mess. “Fucking bad girl. You’re going to pay for that,” he growls, lifting me to my feet. Gripping me tightly against him, he crushes his mouth onto mine, kissing me forcefully, sliding his tongue across mine before pulling back. He slides my panties back on and then cups my sex, making sure his cum stays right where he wants it. The territorial move makes my pussy twitch. He hands me back my yoga pants. “Put them on. I can’t be trusted to let you make it out of here if I touch you again.”
He turns and walks into the bathroom. I lean my ass against his desk, sitting there stunned about how much I want this man. We’re rushing this, and yet, it just feels right. The bathroom door opens and he scrunches his brows at me while walking toward me. “Are you okay, Lucky?”
“Yes. Sorry, I was just thinking about us.”
“I hope it’s nothing bad.”
“I know we’re rushing this…”
“I said nothing bad, baby.” I press my hand to his lips.
“I didn’t say it was. Even though it’s fast, it feels natural to me.”
“That’s because we belong together. Now, get dressed. I have to check on things and see how much people heard. So you said you have a degree in finance?”
“Only an associate degree.”
“It’s more than I have. So instead of having your sexy ass out there and sending me into a rage every time men stare at you, I’ll keep you working the books. How does that sound?”
“If it keeps you from getting into fights, I’m sure that will benefit us all, so I’ll do it.”
After I clean up, he shows me some of the system before checking on the staff. I work on the payroll, and I’m surprised by how much he pays his employees. I suppose if you want to keep the good ones you have to pay that much, but that means he takes a lot less for himself. All it would take is a bad year to be in a terrible situation. I hope he has other investments because his generosity could cost him in the long run. Each of his employees have health insurance, and they make more than the average. I go through everything when I open the mail to find a check from his trust. “Oh. There are things he has forgotten to mention.”
He opens the door at just that time. “His guys are around. Can you do me a favor and help at the register?”
“Okay. Um…a check arrived for you. You told me to open your mail, but I…”
“Yes. We haven’t gotten to talk about that, but I don’t have secrets from you. It’s some family money. I do this diner out of love for it.” He smiles and shrugs, sending my heart fluttering.
“I just didn’t want to pry.”
“Pry all you want. You’re in this with me for the long haul. Any time you have questions, just ask.”
“Okay. Thank you, Logan. I’m ready for this.”
“I’ll be right there. You don’t have to worry about a thing. I just want them to see you.”
I nod, and we share a brief kiss before I pull away and adjust my top. When I step out, confidence exudes from me until I see the guy that was there that night with Carl. I freeze when our eyes meet. Taking a deep breath, I walk past their table to the register. The guy, who’s name I don’t know, looks worried, concerned. Logan growls next to me, giving my hand a gentle squeeze.
