I would have looked
fairly suspicious if I
had walked through
the door that night.
But I didn’t have

pondered getting

tiptoe on the first-

House dark, no sound
but Jake’s snoring
through the wall, I
laid in bed, watching

wondering what Adam

poked through the curtains,
