I can barely stand it.
He rocks through his orgasm. I can feel his pleasure in the way his thighs are shaking. In the way his groans get low and deep.
When he's spilled every drop, he pulls back enough to stare into my eyes. There's an intimacy there.
A connection.
I'm not sure what it means.
Only that I want more of it.
More of this.
All of it.
All the time.

After we clean up, I insist on buying lunch. There are a dozen restaurants within walking distance. The fish taco place at the mall feels right. It's going to be crowded on a summer Saturday, but once I think of the way Lacey stared at the deck like she'd die if she didn't get more of the ocean view—
I need more of her pleasure. I need every kind of her pleasure.
"I know the place." I slide my keys into my jeans.
"Is that my only clue?"
"You like seafood." It's not quite a question, not quite a statement.
"Don't tell me we're doing grilled fish and salad again." Her smile lights up her dark eyes. It's not like before. She has this relaxed just fucked expression.
Damn, her messy hair-
The red marks on her neck-
That soft bruise on her collarbone-
I'm too old to leave hickeys, but I don't fucking care. I've marked her. She's mine.
I'm getting awfully territorial given the no strings attached nature of our relationship, but I don't fucking care about that either.
"You have a problem with the salad or the grilled fish?" I ask.
"Neither, I guess." She slides her purse over her shoulder then turns to me. "It's great that you eat healthy. I mean, you certainly look like you're on some hipster paleo diet or something."
I slide my arm around her waist. "Come on."
"Okay." She leans into the gesture as she follows me out the door.
It's bright today. Warm. With the blue skies and sunshine, it's a beautiful day. But then I'm mostly immune to the charms of beachfront living.
Lacey isn't. Her eyes get wide as she takes in the view of the beach—it's only three blocks away. She pulls sunglasses from her bag and slides them on.
"I can't believe you live here." Her steps get bouncy. "It's beautiful."
My gaze shifts to her wide smile. That thin strap of her dress is falling off her shoulder. And there's the hickey forming on her neck. "It is."
