What the fuck. Had I said it out loud!

“Nothing as exciting as that. I’m a fitness instructor.”

Haley received a text on her cell. “I have to run guys. My date’s arrived.”

“Good luck.” I told her. “Hopefully we won’t see you later.”

“Fingers crossed,” she yelled back.

“Right,” I said to Brandon. Mr. Fitness Instructor. Boy I bet he can go for hours. I chastise myself. Since earlier today I had been like some desperate horny housewife. “Well, I have to go. Things to do and all that.”

“Yes, I was on my way to work.”

I look back at his jeans and t-shirt.

“I don’t wear my gear there.”

“I’m sorry. I’m being very rude. I’ve had a hard day, ignore me. I’ll be okay tomorrow after a good night’s sleep.”

“Oh, what do you do?” He asked.

“I’m a Realtor for Greens.”

“Bet you meet some interesting people in that line of work. I know I do in mine. We should share stories sometime over a coffee. A get-to-know-the-neighbour welcome coffee,” he corrected, as my eyes widened and I stepped back.

“Tiff, what the fuck are you doing out there?” Kayla yelled from the room. I heard her footsteps pad closer to the door.

“Oh hey,” she said to Brandon.

“This is the last roommate for you to meet.” I said. “Kayla Jackson, meet Brandon Bailey.”

“Fuck me, you’re hot.” She told him.

“Erm, thanks?” He chuckled.

“Kayla!” I scolded her.

“God, calm down. I’m just calling it like I see it. He’s not my type, sorry,” she apologised. “I either like em young or a bit older. Come back and see if I’m single in about fifteen years, okay.”

I shook my head at her and mouthed I’m sorry at Brandon.

“I found some interesting stuff on the internet search,” she told me. “Don’t be long.”

“I am so sorry.” I told Brandon. My face was flushed with the heat of my embarrassment. “I cannot believe what she just said to you. She gets worse.”

“I hear worse at work, seriously. It’s even more uncomfortable when they are interested. I have no problem with someone who isn’t.”

“Well, as a more polite member of the household a coffee would be very nice sometime. We can either have it here or we can come to you.”

“Oh, don’t bring the others.” He said. “One’s too shy and one’s too bold. You. You’re just right.”

He winked and walked off down the corridor towards the elevator and once again I ended up standing wide eyed and speechless at the words from a man’s mouth. Twice in one day. What were the odds?

I turned around and closing the door behind me with my foot, I clasped my night gown over my chest and headed to the living room to find out what Kayla had discovered and got ready to drink a shit load of wine.
