Kissing Killian (Face-Off Legacy/Campus Kings 5) - Page 21

Each kiss grows more passionate, more impatient. Heat spreads from my cheeks, down my arms, and to my thighs like wildfire. An intense burning, a desire that Killian satisfies, makes my body quiver in anticipation. I’m a little nervous about having sex with Killian.

What am I doing? I never do anything like this. But that’s the point, isn’t it?

He slides his hands up the back of my shirt and unhooks my bra. A second later he has my shirt on the counter behind me. Next, the straps of my bra are sliding down my arms. He stops for a moment, his gaze traveling from my breasts to my face before his eyes find mine. He lets out a loud sigh but doesn’t speak.

Just as his tongue is about to glide over my nipple, the sound of people talking outside the room fills the once quiet air. Before I can prepare myself, the door at the back of the classroom flings open, students filing in without even noticing we’re there. Still dressed, Killian blocks me with his muscular frame and reaches behind me to hand me my shirt. Acting fast, I put my shirt on in record time, sans bra, and use him as my shield.

As students begin to take their seats, someone has enough sense to flip the light switch, drawing their attention to the front of the room. The shock of such a compromising position makes me want to crawl under the desk and die. And while Killian’s cool, calm, and collected, I’m a giant ball of nerves.

He grabs my hand leading me out of the room without a word. Not until we make it outside do I get some sense of relief. My chest is tight from holding my breath. Instead of freaking out as I want to do, Killian laughs. At first, he starts with a light chuckle that turns into loud, guttural laughter that shakes through his body.

I smack him on the arm and shake my head. “I can’t believe you’re laughing after what just happened.”

He hooks his arm around me, his muscles flexing against my back, and then hands my bra to me. “Stop being so uptight. You have to admit that was pretty damn funny. What a rush.”

“I’m glad you think my shame is so hilarious.” I try to stifle my laughter and fail.

We’re hunched over, getting a kick out of what could have been an awful situation for both of us. What else can I do but see the lighter side to this situation? And it’s not like anyone even noticed what we were doing. If they did, he’s Killian Kade, hotshot hockey star and God’s gift to women. Heaven and Earth move for him. I doubt we would’ve had as much as a lecture from a professor.

He removes his cell phone from his pocket and glances at it. “We should get back to class. Maybe we can sneak in the back without anyone noticing.”

We stroll through the halls in silence. But I don’t feel the need to talk. Despite his gloomy demeanor, I feel safe around Killian even though I should run away screaming.

I have to be careful not to get too close. Because I know he will wreck my heart if I do.

Shannon knocks on my open bedroom door, peeking her head inside before she steps into the room. She’s wearing one of Jordan’s dresses, a short black one with a red belt around the waist, paired with a pair of red heels. She flicks her dark hair over her shoulder and saunters toward the bed where I’m sitting with a pile of clothes in front of me.

“You okay?” She chuckles at the mess I’ve created. “Looks like you’re having a serious wardrobe malfunction.”

“I have no idea what to wear tonight.”

She lifts a black top with lace across the bust from the bed. “How about this…” Her eyes travel over the clothes on the comforter. “And that skirt,” she says, nodding at the short leather skirt Killian will love.

“I’m not going to the party,” I confess.

There’s no point in lying to Shannon when she has trusted me with so many of her secrets.

“Are you going out with Killian?”

I nod, a smile tugging at my mouth.

Shannon sets the shirt on the bed and sits next to me. “So, what’s the deal with you two? Are you dating?”

I laugh at her question. “Killian doesn’t date.”

“Sex, then?”

“We almost had sex in an empty classroom this week when we were supposed to be in class.”

Her eyes widen in shock. “You? Wow! I’m shocked. Since when are you into random hookups with bad boys?”

“I don’t know… Killian just has this effect on me. You should hear the things he says.” A shiver runs down my arms at the thought of all the dirty things Killian has said to me since we met. “He’s so bad.”
