The Havoc We Wreak (The Four 3) - Page 24

“Like what?”

“The fire between us. I want you all the time. It can’t be normal.”

His lips curved upwards. “If it’s not normal, I don’t want normal. I can’t imagine not wanting you, baby.”

“Well, if things get boring, we can always introduce some toys or something.”

“Toys, hmm?” He kissed me, sliding his tongue against mine, before he rolled us back over so I was underneath him. “While you think about that, I’m gonna clean you up, then have my dessert.”

He disappeared into the bathroom, returning with a damp towel. “On second thoughts…” He dragged his eyes down my body. “Let’s get in the shower.”

Standing under the running water, he took a washcloth, and pulled me to him so my back leaned against his chest. I could feel his cock hardening against me as he trailed the washcloth over my body with slow, torturous movements. When he reached down between my legs, my breathing quickened, and I moaned softly.

Turning me around, he angled the showerhead away from us and gave me a wicked grin. Then, he dropped to his knees and all other thoughts flew out of my head as he dragged his tongue across my wetness.

After he’d made me come with his fucking expert tongue, he was hard and ready for me again. We fucked in the shower, then in the bed, and eventually he made me put on one of his T-shirts so he wasn’t tempted—or so he said.

I lay back on the bed, and he trailed his gaze down my body. “Fuck, Snowflake. You always look so hot in my clothes. This was a bad idea—I want you again, but I know you’re sore.”

“I am,” I admitted. There was tenderness, and an ache between my legs that wouldn’t go away, but it was the best kind of ache.

He crawled over me and gave me a soft kiss. “I can behave,” he vowed against my lips, and I smiled.

“What if I don’t want you to behave?”

He drew back, smirking at me. “Can’t resist me, huh?”

“You know I can’t.”

“No. You need rest.” He moved off the bed, grabbing the champagne bottle. “Have some of this. It’s probably flat by now, but with the amount of money I spent on it, it’s not going to waste.”

I swigged from the bottle, because I was classy like that, while he padded over to the chest of drawers. I admired his body, just clad in black boxers, as he opened the top drawer and rummaged around inside it.

“Here.” He climbed back onto the bed and put a small box into my hands. “Your birthday present.”

I didn’t look down at the box. Not yet, anyway. I looked at him. His stormy gaze was soft as his eyes met mine, and I couldn’t help thinking again that I loved getting to see this side to him, that he hid behind a normally impenetrable facade.

“I love you.” I leaned forwards and kissed him.

He gave me a huge smile, his eyes shining, and my heart skipped a beat. “I love you. Now open your present.”

Tearing my gaze away from his, my eyes slid down to the box, wrapped in silver paper. I carefully opened it to find a rectangular velvet box inside. I stroked my finger over the soft, eggshell-blue velvet, before opening it. Lifting out the jewellery nestled inside, I examined it from every angle.

For the second time that night, he’d rendered me speechless.

“Do you like it?” he asked, a satisfied grin stretching his lips, clearly knowing the answer as my eyes flicked between him and my incredibly perfect, thoughtful gift. All I could do was nod, and pull him to me in a kiss.

“Oh, Cade. This is…wow. I wasn’t expecting this.”

He carefully took the bracelet from my hands. “I had it made for you, Snowflake. Titanium, because you’re fucking strong. Then the boys picked out charms to represent them.” Running his fingers over the dangling charms one by one, he explained. “A laptop from West. A knife from Z—”

“Of course.” I smiled, interrupting him.

He grinned at me. “Yeah. I thought he’d pick a bike, but this isn’t really a surprise.” He moved to the next charm. “A jester hat from Cass. The rest are from me.”

Moving closer to him, I leaned my head on his shoulder as he talked me through the others. “The snowflake is for you, the skull with the crown is for me, same as my tattoos.” He hesitated. “This castle turret thing is…I thought it was significant.”

I reached up, pulling his head down to mine and kissing him. “It is. It was the first time you admitted you wanted me. The first time you really saw me, I think.”
