He glanced at the cabin and shrugged. “All I cared about was how much privacy we’d have.”
“This was a long way to go for just one ni—” I spotted the back end of a familiar truck parked off to the side, and what I’d been saying broke off mid-word.
“About that, baby…” Dax yanked me against his chest and wrapped his arms around my body, his hands gripping the back of my shoulders. “We’re gonna be here longer than you thought.”
My eyes were wide as I stared up at him. “How long?”
One of his arms slid down my back to wrap under my knees while the other stayed around my back. He swept me off my feet and strode toward the house. “As long as it takes.”

I breathed a massive sigh of relief when we’d reached the cabin. Finally, I had my girl all to myself. After sweeping her into my arms, I stalked toward the house and once we were inside and I’d turned the lock on the door, the rest of the tension I hadn’t realized I’d been holding disappeared.
Obviously, I knew she could flip the lock right back around, but it wasn’t about keeping her in. If I did things right, she’d never even consider leaving. Wanting the door locked was about keeping others out.
Arya looked around with interest as I set her on her feet but kept her hand in mine. The living, dining, and kitchen area were all one big space, decorated in a warm, rustic style that made visitors feel at home.
“This is amazing,” Arya breathed, her gorgeous brown eyes wide as she took it all in.
I glanced around before bringing my eyes back to her and tilting my head to the side as I considered her reaction. “Would you enjoy having a place like this?”
“Oh my gosh, yes.” She started dragging me around the room so she could inspect things. Her excitement was cute as hell. “I hated growing up in the city. I wouldn't want to live this far out in the middle of nowhere”—her tone took on a dreamy quality—“but having a place like this to get away to...it’s so romantic.” She glanced up at me, and her cheeks flooded with crimson as her pretty lips curved down.
“I didn’t mean for that to come out so corny. I probably sounded like a kid.” She appeared dejected, and I suddenly realized that my girl was feeling insecure about the difference in our ages. Which didn’t factor into anything as far as I was concerned.
I tugged on her hand, and when she was close enough, I bent and guided her arms around my neck, then palmed her ass and boosted her up. She automatically wrapped her legs around my waist, and I let out a small groan when the heat of her pussy surrounded the big bulge in my jeans.
“Baby, you are one-hundred-percent woman,” I told her before nipping at her lip. “From your sinful mouth, to your sexy tits”—I squeezed her cheeks and grew harder when a whimper escaped her lips—“to this juicy ass, and the hot little pussy cradling my cock.” I pressed her forward and gently rocked into her. “But besides this amazing body, you’re smart and kind, and your innocent passion is somehow adorable and a complete turn on at the same time.”
Her mouth had slowly opened during my speech, and I dipped my head to cover her lips with mine. My tongue swept inside, eliciting a groan at her sweet, rich taste. Arya’s hands tunneled into my hair, and she wiggled as if trying to get even closer. I ripped my lips away and buried my head in the crook of her neck, inhaling deep to imprint her scent in my lungs.
“Wh-Why did you stop?” she panted.
“Because I’m seconds away from losing my shit, baby,” I admitted. “And your first time, our first time together, is not going to be a quick fuck.”
“But—”
I bit the cord of her neck lightly before my head rose, and I shook it with a smile. “Nope.” I shoved one of my hands into her long, thick tresses and fisted, gently tugging her head back to expose her throat. I placed a couple of wet, open-mouthed kisses on her silky skin. “This is going to happen my way, baby. I’m in charge, do you understand?”
She couldn’t nod with my grip on her hair, but I wanted an audible response anyway. She whimpered in the affirmative, and I kissed along her throat and neck again before asking, “Do you trust me, Arya?”
“Yes,” she hissed as I rocked into her once more.
“Then let me handle everything. I don’t want you stressing over anything, just relax. It’s better for—” Oh, shit. I almost told her my plan to knock her up. I really needed to get a handle on the habit of speaking before thinking when I was around her.
