Yes, Victor likes that game. Basically, your enemy is let go and left free to run. Your job is to shoot him before he makes it to the door.

Victor pulls out his Glock 19 with the suppressor attached, more than happy to take part. And he waits with violent anticipation as their men free the prisoners from their chains. Most of them groan and moan as soon as they can lower their arms. A couple of them fall to the ground, stone dead for a list of reasons that Victor would probably need a medical professional to explain.

It doesn’t matter. Soon the remaining 24K will recover enough to run, and there are still plenty of them left to turn into corpses.

Victor smooths a finger over his gun’s trigger, patiently waiting.

But suddenly, another suppressed memory flashes into his mind even though he’s awake.

A new man entered their tiny prison bedroom. He wore a suit as beautiful as the ones the little boy’s father favored. And he radiated the same kind of power. He had a gun in his hand, and he walked with purpose.

Directly toward the little boy’s mother, who was sitting on the bed.

The little boy was so young, but somehow, he understood what was about to happen.

He tried to get in front of the man. He screamed with his ruined mouth for him to leave her alone.

But the man simply shoved the little boy aside and pointed the gun.

It happened so fast the little boy didn’t even have time to call out a warning to his mother.

But then it was too late for warnings. There was a loud blast, and his mother looked at her son, her expression one of utter sorrow…before she slumped and tumbled off the bed.

The little boy couldn’t scream as he watched a pool of blood form underneath where his mother had fallen. He could only stare in mute horror. She was gone…his mother was gone forever.

Meanwhile, the man in the suit pushed an older boy forward. The little boy didn’t notice right away that the other boy had a Polaroid camera in his hands. Not until his mother’s murderer commanded him to take a picture.

The sound of a skirmish brings Victor out of the memory.

There’s a prisoner who must have been one of the later roundups. He recovers much faster than the other captured 24K and takes the man who unchained him by surprise with a sharp punch to the face. That’s followed by a high face kick that completely knocks the guy that freed him out.

Victor tilts his head. This one is a fighter. Good.

Without a word, Victor hands his gun off to Phantom and steps forward.

By the time he makes it over to the surprisingly good fighter, the 24K has pulled a knife off the guy he felled.

So he’s smart, too. Victor grins. This will be fun.

Victor raises his fists and beckons the fighter forward, and the 24K immediately comes at him, furious and swiping.

Before Victor can fully put together a defense and attack plan, the guy slashes the knife, cutting him across his chest.

That’s fine. Victor likes the pain. It radiates over his skin, glorious and energizing after so many weeks of numbness.

Victor gives the 24K an impressed nod of acknowledgment before striking him three precise times in the face.

The 24K reels backward, dropping the knife. It skitters right to Victor's feet. And Victor bends down to pick it up.

Seeing that his enemy now has the weapon, the 24K immediately falls into a defensive stance. He eyes Victor, his gaze fearful and wary.

But Victor simply offers the 24K back his knife, handle first.

The 24K takes the knife but looks at him like he’s crazy as he does so.

Other than that, the fighter doesn’t waste any more time trying to suss out Victor’s motivation for giving him his weapon back. He attacks with the knife, this time punching it out the same as a fist, obviously hoping that any jab that Victor manages not to parry will stab through him, preferably through a vital organ given where he’s aiming.

Victor’s once again impressed with how well the 24K is handling himself. He must have taken his martial arts practice very seriously prior to this. Too bad he decided to bring those skills to Kuang. The Silent Triad can always use men like this one on their team.

But alas…

After dodging a stab straight to his heart, Victor grabs the 24K’s knife arm by the wrist. Then, using his shoulder as leverage, he breaks it with a simple twisting maneuver.

No, this 24K must not have been hanging around in chains for too long. For he screams in pain as if this is worse than anything that came before it. Still, he tries to punch Victor with his other arm, which Victor appreciates.

He easily catches the fist, coming straight for his face, in his palm. But he gives the fighter another nod of acknowledgment for his persistence…before breaking that arm too.
