It started with Belle of all people. Out of all the women, I would’ve said she was the quiet one, with Tammy running a close second. I don’t place my wife in that category because her ass is always up to some shit, and with Valerie, in her corner, it’s always a tossup which one of them is the front runner in the fuckery stakes; whatever.

A few months ago, Belle started some workout routine. She’d basically mixed and matched cardio, calisthenics, and strength training that somehow just focused on her ass. The first the rest of us heard about it is when Jared went on a tear about her trying to lose weight, which in the end was not what she was after. I’m not sure if maybe that wouldn’t have been better.

In short, she toned up and turned fat into muscle, and the result has Jared pulling his hair out of his head. The others, though much smaller than Belle, decided to climb on the bandwagon for moral support, which turned into asses that are high, firm, and just fucking ripe. So far, so good. But then the clothing change started happening, and that’s where the fun began.

Sian had been a bit fretful since giving birth though her body had bounced right back even if it took a little longer because I refused to let her hurt herself. I’m not sure what goes on in the heads of women, but giving birth from all the books, I read sounds and looked like some kind of surgery that should take time to heal from. This crazy broad thought that it was okay to go through that shit and then two weeks later start putting her body through hell in some misguided notion of pleasing me.

Anyway, I didn’t have much to say about whatever the hell they were doing, just footed the bill for the bow flex machines they just had to have and was too busy running herd on my son and daughter to care much, to be honest. But because I know her body so well, it didn’t take me long to see the results.

It would’ve been fine, and I’m sure that all of us would’ve accepted their new fascination with their bodies and working out, but of course, being women, they had to take it a bit further. Now there’s talk about making a video and posting shit on social media, which is a big fucking no-no.

They have no idea what we do in here, so they can have no idea how the thought of them putting themselves out there like that strikes fear in our hearts. And just that quickly, my mood switched from fun and games to something more serious. I ordered the stuff and had it overnighted to my folks’ place in Cali before logging off and switching to my work computer.

“Nah, we’re not doing that. Jason and I have a head start. What are we doing about Alex’s situation?” I switched from one mindset to another again but had to be on my guard with this one. There are very few things that I keep from the guys, but they’re necessary. I know for a fact that Track, especially, likes to think that he’s my keeper.

He has no understanding of how I feel about the way he’s been treated these last few years like a fucking science project to be shipped off to do who knows what for the asshole government or the hard-on I have for those fucks to this day. I’m going to protect him the way he’s always been the protector for everyone else, fuck that.

So he has no idea that I’ve been keeping tabs on Mandy in jail or the plans I have for her. At least I didn’t think he did, neither do the others, for that matter. Jared is my brother-in-law, not blood, but he’s my wife’s nearest and dearest, so it goes without saying that I have his back.

Shayne and Alex have been with me for as long as Track has, and although I love them all the same, there’s never been the need to watch over them the same way since no one has ever farmed them out for months at a time. The shit gets my goat.

I know he loves what he does, and he’s explained to me over time how it helped with his sister’s issue, but it still leaves a bad taste in my mouth. What we do for Mancini and the squad is a joint effort, so there are no hidden pockets there, but the Mandy thing and, by extension, what Alex had just walked into is a whole other kettle of fish.

“So, the people you’re trying to protect are going to get some backlash; it looks like. Right now, Cassie is the lamb; she’s the one we shield at all cost. Right?” That’s his new thing, calling the women and girls we rescue lambs. I’m not sure what the hell he’s been into, but whatever, it’s his shtick.
