“I don’t know, but if we can land it, why not?”
“I’ll try,” I say before heading out of her office. Five million dollars on lingerie. This guy must have a serious kink. Are the pieces he’s buying made out of gold? I usually get my underwear from the store. It costs me about five bucks for a pack of five. I never saw the need for all those fancy ensembles, but I guess that’s because I’ve never been with someone that I care to wear it for. Let’s be honest, I’ve never been with anyone at all.

Max
“Max!” I look up from the computer at the screech of my name. The blonde is standing in my doorway. I really need to find out her name. I’m not sure why she’s taken the liberty to call me by my first name. Only friends and family call me Max.
“It’s Mr. Kennedy.” I remind her, trying to set as many boundaries as possible with her. She needs them. Although I don’t really give a shit what she calls me, I want her to understand that she is my employee and that’s all. If I start letting her do small things like calling me by my first name, she’ll get mixed signals. Not because I’m sending them but because she wants that to be the case.
“Did you see this?” She holds up her phone as if I can see it all the way across my office. I glance to the screens on my wall. The stock market looks fine to me.
“If it’s not about my sister or her boys I don’t care,” I admit before going back to playing chess on my computer, waiting for my phone to ring again. I know it’s not my parents. They are still in a yacht in the Mediterranean.
“But it says you’re getting married!” I motion for her to bring her phone over toward me so I can look at it. I let out a laugh. My sister has really outdone herself this time. Unless our mom finds out. That will be a mess. Who knows who will be in more trouble. My sister really is playing with fire.
“You’re getting married?” She hisses at me making me look up from her phone to meet her eyes. Still I can’t remember her name. Jesus I’m an asshole. I bet Mark knows it.
“Don’t worry about it.” My sister is in for a rude awakening. Why would I care if she put out a wedding announcement? It’s actually not a bad idea. Then people like Blondie here will leave me alone and stop batting their eyes at me. It seems counterproductive on my sister’s part so I’m not sure what the hell she is trying to accomplish. But whatever it was, it blew up in her face. This happens to work in my favor.
“Don’t worry about it?” she says again with this hissing to her voice. I give her a hard look. One that says she better knock whatever she thinks she’s doing here off. Her job could depend on it.
“Don’t you have a job to be doing?”
She stands up a little straighter, her mouth closing before she half stomps from my office. I wish my sister would see this shit. It’s the reason I don’t date. I was just rude as shit to her and I bet my millions that she’ll be back trying to flirt with me in a few hours. All these people see is my handsome face and my deep pockets. They’re not interested in who I am. They pretend to be but in reality all they care about is the money and the social status that I bring to the table. I’d rather be alone than live a fake life with a wife that does whatever I want her to.
My phone rings again. I hit the speaker button. “Maxwell Kennedy.”
“Mr. Kennedy. My name is Mia and I’m calling from Remex Collection Services,” my angel’s voice comes through the line. A weight I hadn't noticed was there lifts off my shoulders. “I’m calling to collect on a debt that you have.” She repeats the same words as before. I know because I memorized them. I’d played them over and over in my mind last night when I stroked my cock in the shower. Thinking about her sweet voice and fantasizing about her sweet mouth. “With Kimmy’s Lingerie. It’s quite sizeable, sir, and we’d appreciate it if you could make a payment toward it today.” Yeah, it’s quite sizeable all right. I reach down and run my hand over my now hard cock. Again, I’m turned on more than I have ever been in my life. Who knew a voice could sound so delicate and sweet? Would the rest of her be the same? My mouth waters thinking about it.
