“I don’t care.” I roll over, kissing him. He deepens the kiss, a groan coming from him. I love that sound. I push into him, my body needing to be close to his and not caring that it’s sore. It’s already learned that the pleasure will be worth every ache that it’s feeling.

I pull back when I hear what sounds like ringing. It takes my fogged sex brain a moment to realize that it’s my phone.

“I thought I silenced it,” Max says with a grunt, reluctantly letting me go.

“You silenced my phone?” I turn to see it’s lying on the nightstand. I’m not even sure where I’d dropped my purse in the process of getting to his place.

“My driver brought it up. After I talked to Amelia, I thought I turned it on silent.” I sit up.

“You talked to Amelia?” Oh God, Amelia. “She’s going to murder us!” I reach out, grabbing the phone and hitting the accept button. “Sorry,” I say before she can get a word out of her mouth.

“It’s Facetime. Why can’t I see you?” I pull the phone away from my ear. There is a small amount of light in the room that’s coming from one of the windows . “You look well fucked.” I gasp at her vulgar words but then I smile because it shouldn’t shock me. She always says exactly what she’s feeling. I should be used to it by now.

Max chuckles from beside me. I reach over and smack his bare chest. He grabs my hand and kisses my palm. I glare at him but he keeps on smiling at me. He’s so handsome that I find myself smiling bigger. Everything is perfect in this moment. I want to stay in it forever.

“Still here.”

Oh crap. I look back to my phone. “Sorry!”

“You said that already.” She shakes her head at me. “Gave it up on the first night. You little slut.” She smirks, teasing me. My cheeks are on fire at her words. I’m going to murder her when I see her.

“He can hear you,” I whisper. Even though me whispering also defeats the purpose because he can hear that too. This time when Max laughs he has the decency to try to hold it in but the shaking bed gives him away. He’s going to get it.

“I’m just making sure he didn’t kill you.” She shrugs.

“I’m fine,” I reassure her. I am way more than fine. I’m happy. “Unless death by orgasm is a thing?”

She looks as though she’s thinking this over. “Not that I would know,” she mumbles a second later. I want to tell her if you could die from them then I’d be six feet under by now. So, no you can’t die from them. Unless this is heaven. My eyes flick to Max.

“Anywho, what's your plan for today? Was this a one-night stand? Will you be home for us to do some breakfast?” It’s Thursday. Amelia and I have the same work schedule, both being off on Thursdays. Everyone gets Sunday off. I’m sure Max has to get to work.

“I told her last night when we talked that it wasn’t a one-night stand.” He sits up, nuzzling my neck. “We’ll be spending all day together. Won’t we, angel?”

“Gross.” Amelia makes gagging sounds while I turn thirteen shades of red.

“Max.” I give him a nudge to back up at the same time I tilt my head so he can have more room if he needs it. I can feel him smile against my skin before he places one more kiss on my neck and pulls away. My eyes follow him as he gets out of bed. He strolls toward the bathroom in all of his naked glory. I lick my lips at the same time Max turns around. His eyes focus on my mouth and I see the lust in them.

“You’ll be my breakfast and then I’ll take you to breakfast,” he throws over his shoulder.

“Max!” I shout again. He only laughs harder and this time I can’t smack him.

“You look so happy.”

I look back to Amelia. How do I keep forgetting I’m on the phone? I’m freaking holding the thing up. It’s a good thing I have the sense to keep it turned toward me. Even though I love Amelia, there is no way I want her seeing Max naked.

“I am.” Between my legs isn’t the only thing that’s aching. My face isn’t far behind it from smiling so much.

“Good, you deserve it.”

“Thanks.” I hope that one day she will find someone that makes her truly happy. She jokes that she’s looking for her sugar daddy. I don’t believe her. She’s looking for love. She does well on her own and she’s more than capable of taking care of herself but I can tell she’s lonely. She puts on a good front. I’m not going to call her on it. For now at least.
