Chapter Nine - Mia
It's late. Sitting on the couch in Isaac's living room, I look around anxiously. He still isn't back yet. I've been here a while. I showered, changed, and even made myself a snack.
I still can't get him out of my mind. The whole time I was in the shower, I could feel his body on mine again. Losing my virginity to an older man was such an incredible experience. Anxiously I chew my fingernail. I lift my gaze to the front door.
I wish he was home already. I wonder what will happen when we do see each other again.
My deepest wish is to have more sex with Isaac. I lean back on the couch and start to daydream about how I would kiss him. His lips felt so good.
I sit up and look at my phone. The hours get later. I go to the kitchen and get a drink. Back in the living room, I turn on the TV then mute the sound. I need something to distract me. It doesn't help. The late hour makes me worry about Isaac. I don't know much work he had to do on the old house, but I doubt it could take this long.
I pick up my phone and wonder what to do. He is a big strong man and can obviously defend himself, but that doesn't stop me from caring, though, or worrying about his safety.
Getting up, I pace the room. I walk to the window and look outside. His car is not in the driveway. I pace some more.
I'm going to go insane from worrying!
I need someone to talk to. I'm so conflicted about everything. Maybe a fresh pair of eyes can help me make sense of everything. Plus, it would feel good to share my excitement with someone. I mean, I did lose my virginity. I sigh and look out the window again. I try to be patient and wait a few more minutes, but my worry gets the better of me.
I need to know what to do about Isaac. I grab my phone and dial Kylie. It's late. I hope she answers. I wait a few minutes while the phone rings.
“Hey, girl!” Kylie says. I feel a little comfort in her friendly voice.
“Hey ….do you have time to talk?” I ask.
“Of course! What's up?” Kylie asks curiously.
“I kind of did something,” I admit hesitantly.
“Ooh! Sounds kind of serious. Tell me everything,” Kylie chirps.
I can't hold it in any longer. “I had sex with Isaac!” I blurt out.
There is stunned silence from Kylie's end of the phone. “You did what?” she asks in shock. “Already?”
“I had sex with Isaac. I lost my virginity,” I repeat.
I hold the phone away from my ear as Kylie squeals with excitement. “How did it happen? What did you do? What did it feel like?” she babbles.
“Oh my gosh, give me a second to tell you,” I reply, giggling. Then, I lay back on the couch and remember everything about the afternoon.
“Sorry, this is just really exciting,” my friend admits. I smile because I know she is right. “Okay, I'm calm. Give me details.”
“Okay, well, I went to go see him at work. He was muscular and sweaty and everything,” I explain. Kylie makes a sound to indicate that she is listening. “He showed me how to help him, like teaching me how to use the tools and stuff,” I explain.
“Ooh! What a great way to get close to him,” Kylie interrupts.
I have to agree with her. “It totally was. I could smell his cologne and everything. It was so overwhelming I almost left, then he grabbed me and started kissing me. It was very intense.” Kylie gasps dramatically. “Then, we gave into the passion and made love on the floor.”
“Do you realize how lucky you are, Mia? That is every girl's fantasy, to be with a sexy older man like that,” Kylie declares dreamily. I giggle in response. Sometimes she is so silly. “You get all the luck. Seems like these kinds of things only happen to you,” she teases.
I smile and laugh. I feel happy and proud of myself for a few short seconds. A quick glance at the clock, however, brings all my anxiety back. I need to voice this concern to my friend.
“Why are you so quiet? Is something wrong?” Kylie asks as I hesitate.
“I'm just worried. It's so late, and Isaac isn't home yet. He said he would be right home after work. I just don't want anything to happen to him,” I admit, hoping I don't sound foolish.
She tuts. “I wouldn't worry about it. He's a man. He's going to be fine. Besides, he is remodeling a whole house. Odds are he has a lot of work to do,” Kylie says. She actually sounds logical and reasonable. “Don't worry, just relax and get some sleep. You had a pretty eventful evening. Who knows, he'll probably be home by the time you wake up.”
