Forbidden Kiss (Carson Cove Scandals 1) - Page 60

“Tell me, since it’s just us girls…” She leaned forward. “How is he—in bed?”

“I’m sorry—what?” My head snapped back.

“I just want to know if I’m going to be satisfied.” She flashed an evil grin. “I plan to ride that big, hard cock of his every single night once we’re married.”

Stay calm. Stay calm. Just stay calm.

“You’ll be satisfied…” I looked down at the floor. “Can we talk about the party now?”

“Yeah, we’ll get to that. I know he’s getting a bit older now… Should I go ahead and get him a prescription for Viagra?” She tilted her head to the side. “Maybe I’ll do that anyway—just in case.”

Oh my god, she’s such a miserable cunt.

“I’m sure you won’t need it,” I sighed. “The party?”

“Fine, let me see what you put together.” She extended her hand and snapped her fingers at me like I was a dog.

Okay Victoria—here’s your cue.

“Dad, are you here?” The front door opened, and Victoria walked in a few seconds after I hit the button on my phone to let her know it was time.

“Victoria?” Alexis put the agenda down on the table and looked up. “What are you doing here? Your father is in the city—visiting your sister.”

“Shit, really?” Victoria pretended to be surprised. “Oh—she’s here.”

“I can go.” I started gathering my things.

“Nonsense, we’re talking wedding stuff.” Alexis waved off my suggestion.

“It’s—fine…” Victoria gave me the angriest glare she could muster. “I just need to grab some stuff out of my room.”

Alexis had no idea that Victoria and I survived the bombshell about my relationship with her father. We figured it was best that she thought we hated each other to make it easier to work together on our real agenda. Victoria had done her best to be civil to Alexis in order to stay on her good side—but she knew she would eventually crack if she had to stay at Benson Estate. That, of course, made it seem like Bryant’s relationship with his daughter was strained—and provided the perfect cover for why she would show up when he was out of town. Alexis reached for the agenda after Victoria walked off—and a second later there was a loud crash.

“Oh shit!” Victoria squealed.

“What the hell?” Alexis stood up. “I’ll be right back.”

Bryant fought Alexis’ attempt to redecorate Benson Estate at every turn, but a few things had made their way there—like the ashes of Alexis’ father. It was morbid, wrong, and so awful, but it was the best way to get a reaction out of the venomous bitch. Needless to say, when she turned the corner and saw the ceramic urn shattered and her father’s ashes strewn all over the floor, she went ballistic. That was my cue. I grabbed Alexis’ phone, swapped it out with the decoy we bought, and gathered my things. Alexis was screaming at Victoria and wailing when I made it to the door of the living room. She looked almost human in that moment, but I didn’t care—she had drained whatever compassion I might have had for her humanity out of me long before our plan was made.

“You are a wretched little bitch; I swear to god!” Alexis pushed Victoria.

“I’m sorry! I’m so sorry! I didn’t mean to!” Victoria faked her way to the verge of crocodile tears.

“I should just go. We’ll discuss this later…” I made a quick dash for the door.

Bolt was waiting in the car—and a few seconds after I escaped from Benson Estate, Alexis’ phone was in his hand. He plugged it into his laptop and started typing as I drove. That was it—our only play. If we got into Alexis’ phone, then it was our best shot of bringing her down. If we failed, and the cloud didn’t have what we were looking for—then it was over. Her retribution would be swift—there was a chance I would lose everything—but I didn’t care anymore. If there was a chance that I could end Alexis’ engagement with Bryant and bring the bitch to her knees, then I had to take it.

“I’m in!” Bolt practically jumped up and down in his seat.

“Oh my god…” Anna stared at the screen.

“What?” I looked over my shoulder.

“Pull over, Taylor. Pull over now!” Anna motioned to me.

We didn’t just find what we were looking for—we hit the fucking jackpot. There were so many files—so much blackmail material—we could have brought down half of the families in Carson Cove. Every time we clicked one of them, we found something that made us either shake our head in disbelief or want to throw up. Bolt moved all of the files into his cloud, cleared Alexis’ out, and wiped the backups.

“It’s over…” Anna looked up at me. “She’s finished.”
