Elly: I got some good news today.
Ian: Really? What happened?
Elly: My boss really liked the ad-copy I put together, and now I’m going to get to pitch it to the client!
Ian: Wow! That’s awesome! Good job. :)
Elly: I might even get to take over the entire account!
Ian: Even better! We should celebrate!
Elly: I wish we could…
Ian: Are you busy tonight?
Elly: No, but I thought you were…
Ian: My plans got canceled. How about dinner and a movie at your place? I could pick something up on the way.
Elly: Okay! That sounds great!
Ian: Do you like Chinese?
Elly: I try to stay away from it, but I do like Sweet and Sour Chicken…
Ian: I’ll see you soon!
My evening wasn’t going to be completely wasted—spending time with Elly was even better than landing a new client. There was a really nice Chinese place on my way to Elly’s apartment, so I called in my order, and it was ready when I arrived. I decided to stop by the store and pick up a bottle of wine as well. It wouldn’t be much of a celebration without a glass or two. The snow was starting to fall by the time I got on the road to her place, but it didn’t look like it was going to be that bad. I had definitely seen worse. I parked in front of her apartment building, took the elevator to her floor, and lightly knocked on her door once I arrived.
“Hey!” Elly opened the door with a smile on her face.
“Hello yourself.” I smiled and stepped into her apartment.
I barely got a chance to put the food and wine down on the counter before Elly kissed me. I immediately pulled her into a tight embrace and moved my hands down her back as our lips seared together. Spending the evening with her was going to be a lot better than meeting with a client. Feeling her lips against mine made my body surge with desire, and I couldn’t resist running my hands along her curves as the kiss got more passionate. My head was spinning by the time our lips parted, and I had to take a moment to gasp for air.
“I guess you missed me as much as I missed you…” I squeezed her ass and grinned.
“I did.” She nodded.
Elly and I got everything ready to eat and decided that we were going to have dinner in front of the television so we could get started on our movie. We both had to work the next day, so it wasn’t going to be a long night—even if her eyes weren’t filled with the same hesitation I saw the last time we were together. That was partially because she was in such a good mood because of the news she got at work. Once we were seated on the couch, I removed the cork from the bottle of wine and poured two glasses.
“Wow, this is really good.” Elly’s eyebrows shot up when she took her first sip. “I bet that means it was expensive…”
“Don’t worry about that.” I chuckled under my breath and took a sip. “We’re celebrating. You deserve it.”
“Thank you.” She nodded and took another quick sip. “What Christmas movie are you going to make me watch tonight?”
“We don’t have to watch a Christmas movie.” I shook my head back and forth. “You choose.”
“Hmm. A Christmas movie would be okay… What about that Uncle Nick movie? You said it was good, right?” Elly tilted her head inquisitively.
“I believe the word I used was crude.” I laughed. “We can watch it if you want.”
She had the option of picking anything, and she went for a Christmas movie. Maybe she’s actually feeling a little bit of holiday spirit now.
The movie Elly chose was one that I had watched a few years back when popped as a recommendation. I thought it would blend humor with the holidays like Christmas Vacation when I read the description, but it didn’t have the same magic. It was more raunchy than I expected. I would have probably liked it a lot more when I was younger, and since Elly seemed to enjoy that kind of humor based on the jokes she told, I assumed it would be one that she enjoyed. I got the impression that she wouldn’t be offended by the content. We watched several risqué scenes before one finally popped up that got a reaction from her.
“Oh wow, he’s really going for it.” Elly’s eyebrows shot up. “He’s going to try to bang his niece?”
