“It was a lot more than I gave you.” I exhaled sharply.
“Time kind of slipped away from me. I have no idea how long you teased me for—it felt like a really long time.” She grinned.
“You definitely exceeded what I did, but I’ll forgive you.” I pulled her into a tight embrace. “It was so good that I couldn’t hold a grudge even if I was upset.”
“It must have been.” She looked up at me. “You dropped an f-bomb.”
“Did I?” I raised my eyebrows in surprise. “I’m not a saint—I have dropped a few of those in my time.”
“I liked it.” She laid her head against my shoulder. “It was kind of hot.”
“You liked that huh?” I chuckled under my breath and traced her skin with my fingers.
“Yeah—but you’re probably going to get some coal in your stocking now.” She pressed her lips to my skin and snickered. “Or switches.”
“If I get switches, I know exactly what I’m going to be doing with them.” I moved my hand to her ass and squeezed.
“Yeah.” She pushed my hand away. “You’re going to throw them in the nearest fireplace.”
“You’re the one who said you deserve it…” I laughed and moved my hand back to her shoulder.
“I said you could spank me, not whip me like a medieval schoolgirl.” She lifted her head and narrowed her eyes. “Besides, after what I just did
for you, I hope I’ve redeemed myself.”
“I’d say you have…” I nodded and laughed again.
Elly and I stayed tangled up in our embrace for another hour before I got dressed so I could leave. It still took me another hour to leave, just like it did the previous night because we couldn’t keep our hands off each other. We were both going to be dragging the next day. I could already tell that I was going to need to start my day with two cups of coffee, but I would do it with a smile on my face. My night with Elly had been simply amazing, and I couldn’t wait to spend time with her again.
I won’t be upset if my plans get canceled tomorrow night as well. It’s just a dinner party.
Chapter Nineteen
Elly
I went to bed with a huge smile on my face—and a tenderness in my jaw. I might have been a virgin, but even the most innocent girl in the world would have known that Ian was well-endowed. When I was in college, the sorority girls and even a few of my friends used to talk about the size of the guys they had been with. I always rolled my eyes and ignored it. If I was one to suck-and-tell, I would have turned Ian into a legend if I joined one of those conversations. There was one thing for sure—I was going to have an ache below my waist that was a lot more noticeable than the one in my jaw if he was the one that popped my cherry.
That doesn’t scare me as much as it should. I guess I really do like him…
I woke up the next morning and could definitely feel the lack of sleep, along with some tightness in my jaw. A cup of coffee and a couple of Tylenol got me ready for the day. My day was spent going over the projects that Mr. Thornton assigned to other people in the office. I had to get them caught up before I could completely abandon what I had been working on, and some of the projects were already close to completion. I didn’t mind if someone else got credit for the smaller accounts, even if I worked on them because I was focused on the end game. The Dillinger’s Department Store account was going to make my career—I was sure of it.
“Have you gotten all of your Christmas shopping done?” Mary looked up at me as I walked by her desk.
“Uh…” I raised an eyebrow. “I’ve still got a few things I need to pick up.”
I haven’t started at all. I really need to do that…
“You better hurry! I was going to get my son one of those custom Yeti coolers that they’ve been advertising, and they aren’t even shipping anything until after Christmas! I’m probably going to have to save it for his birthday now…” She sighed.
“I don’t think I have anyone on my list that needs one of those.” I shrugged. “Hopefully none of the things I need to get are out of stock.”
I literally have no idea what I’m going to get anyone. I haven’t even sat down to figure out who I should buy gifts for…
“Well don’t forget about your Secret Santa gift!” Mary smiled and nodded quickly.
“What?” I took a step back.
How the hell does she know about that!?
