“I wanted to make sure nobody was going to panic if you didn’t make it home at a reasonable hour.” I sat down on the edge of the bed and put my hand on her hip. “This Funhouse has ran a little later than I expected.”

“No, I told my parents that I was spending the night with Jackie. They’re probably fast asleep, anyway. Why, are you trying to kick me out?” Brianna raised her eyebrows in concern.

“That’s the furthest thing from our mind.” Shane climbed into the bed and dropped down beside Brianna. “Do you want something to drink?”

“My throat is pretty freaking parched.” Brianna nodded.

I went downstairs and poured a glass of iced tea for Brianna and grabbed a couple of beers. I was getting pretty tired, just like Shane, but if we were going to spend a while talking, I needed something to keep me going a little longer. I grabbed a bag of Halloween candy too, and picked up Brianna’s pumpkin. I wasn’t sure if she wanted to keep all of her naughty cheerleader props, so I just dumped the candy in on top of them. When I got back to the top of the stairs, Shane had his arm around Brianna and she was cuddled next to him. It was a beautiful sight. I never thought I would meet a woman that the two of us got so attached to—especially that quick, but I wasn’t stupid enough to look past the perfection in front of me.

“I brought some candy too, if either of you want some.” I dropped the plastic pumpkin on the bed and handed Brianna her iced tea.

“Damn, that’s so good.” Brianna sipped the iced tea and smiled. “You have to tell me how you make this.”

“Where I’m from they call it sweet tea.” Shane grinned and nodded.

“Ah, I thought I recognized an accent.” Brianna nodded and let the glass rest against her lips again.

“Yep, born and raised in a little town called Dahlonega, Georgia. It’s barely on the map.” He chuckled and twisted the top off his beer as he sat up.

“What about you?” Brianna turned her attention to me.

“California, but it’s hard to call one city my home. My parents were hippies one week and gypsies the next.” I shrugged and sipped my beer. “They sold arts and crafts, or at least that’s what the front was. My dad was mostly just peddling weed out of the back of his van.”

“I guess that explains why you’re an artist.” Brianna giggled and dug into the candy and finally found a piece she liked.

We spent hours talking about our lives and genuinely getting to know each other. Brianna talked about her scholarship, the internship she had lined up once she got to my home state, and her aspirations to become a writer. Shane and Brianna had a few interesting stories about sma

ll town life that were rather similar, despite growing up in completely different cultures. My stories didn’t really compare. The only reason I ended up getting away from the life my parents led was because my grandmother paid for me to go to college. If it hadn’t been for that, I would have probably ended up living my life in the back of a van as well, trying to sell my artwork on the streets.

I was surprised that it was so easy to talk to Brianna. She truly was remarkable.

“What is the final room in this Funhouse supposed to be, anyway?” Brianna leaned over and tilted her pumpkin. “Do I need to find something else to be naughty with?”

“You kind of ruined the last room.” I shook my head and chuckled. “It was supposed to be the first time you were with both of us at the same time, but you pushed that one ahead of schedule.”

“The locker room didn’t count?” Brianna raised her eyebrows inquisitively.

“Did it feel like the locker room when both of us were inside you at the same time?” I leaned forward and put my hand on her leg. “Maybe you need a reminder.”

“Definitely different!” She nodded quickly.

“Since the Funhouse has kind of reached a conclusion, how was everything for you? Was there anything that you didn’t like?” Shane leaned over and kissed Brianna’s shoulder, working his way up to her neck. “I can kick Dante’s ass if he hurt you too bad.”

“You can try.” I narrowed my eyes and growled under my breath.

“No, everything was great. I didn’t think I would enjoy that kind of stuff, but I learned a lot about myself tonight.” She let out a light moan when his lips teased her neck. “I mean, the paddling could have been harder.”

“Told you.” I lifted my beer and chuckled.

“Maybe you need another trip to the principal’s office then.” Shane ran his hand down her ribs and squeezed her ass.

“No, you had your chance.” She shuddered from his touch and giggled. “Besides, you weren’t the only one that went easy on me.”

“Seriously?” I raised my eyebrows in surprise. “I thought I gave you a pretty hard spanking—even if I did hold back.”

“It was okay.” She shrugged and giggled again. “I thought all of my naughty behavior would have gotten me in a lot more trouble.”

“You were certainly squirming around and swearing that you were going to be a good girl before I got done with you.” I narrowed my eyes and growled under my breath.
