I was screaming and moaning, incoherent with pleasure as I said his name over and over, and he was relentless. I felt another orgasm building and I clutched the sheets. His body tightened as he prepared to let go, and his hips thrust faster. A wave of raw heat and pleasure flooded between my legs, spreading through my body.

“Daphne.” My name tore from his lips and I moaned in reply, helpless as his body tightened and he thrust deep inside me. A visceral scream ripped from my throat just as he cried out and climaxed.

Afterward, he dropped my legs and came to rest on my stomach, his head lying on my breasts for a few moments before he got up to get rid of the condom. I watched him toss it in the trash, my eyes heavy as I admired his beautiful naked body. I felt languid and sated. He came back to join me on the bed, and I slid my fingers over his firm chest.

He smiled. “I knew it was going to be like this,” he said. “You and me.”

I laughed. “Now you’re clairvoyant as well as a great fuck?”

He chuckled. “Look who’s still sassy.” He cupped my breast, flicking the nipple with his tongue. “By morning,” he promised, “all you’ll be is exhausted.”

Arousal tightened between my legs again. This was gearing up to be the best night of my life.

Chapter Six

Jason was right—by morning, I was exhausted, pleasantly sore, and reeling from the memories of more orgasms than I could count.

A sweet shudder of remembered pleasure coursed through me as I opened my eyes. Jason had been like a machine. There was no part of his bed, no piece of furniture that didn’t carry a memory of all the different ways we’d fucked, all in one night.

“Hey beautiful.”

He was standing at the door wearing grey sweatpants that hung on his hips, watching me with an indecipherable expression. Looking at him, it was hard to imagine anything more mouthwateringly sexy.

Still, I wondered if perhaps I’d overstayed my welcome. It was still a hookup, after all, no matter how intense or pleasurable it had turned out to be.

“Hey…” My voice was slightly hoarse from all the screaming I’d done throughout the night. I sat on the edge of the bed and stretched. I was still naked, and I saw his gaze flick to my breasts.

“Last night was…great,” I said awkwardly.

He chuckled. “I had to make it worth the wait,” he said. “How long did you say it had been?”

I was suddenly shy, which was ridiculous given everything we’d already done together. “One year, give or take a few weeks.”

An eyebrow went up. “Impressive.” He paused. “Come on to the kitchen. I ordered breakfast.” My face betrayed my surprise and his brow went up again. “What?” he said. “I have to feed you after last night. It’s only decent.” He handed me a folded t-shirt from the top of the dresser. “You can put this on, or you know…don’t.”

I rolled my eyes. “I’m not going to walk around your apartment completely naked.”

“Bummer.” He watched me put the top on then surprised me with a kiss on my forehead. “I’ll wait for you in the kitchen.”

After he left, I went to the bathroom, cleaned up a bit, and used the new toothbrush he’d considerately placed on the sink. In the mirror, I saw my hair was a wild, tangled mess, my eyes still looked glazed, and my skin positively glowed.

I grinned at my reflection. I felt pretty fucking good.

Back in the bedroom, I picked up my phone from the bedside table and checked my messages. I’d sent Amy a text sometime during the night to let her know I’d left the club and wouldn’t be coming home.

Who told you that dress would make things happen? she’d replied. Me!

Now, I sent a tongue-out emoji in reply. I tried not to wonder what she would think if she knew I was with her brother. As much as I cared for her as my friend and roommate, I knew my being with Jason was ultimately none of her business.

However, there was no point thinking about all that after just one night. Sure, I was still with him and it was morning, but after today, who knew what would happen. People had sex and went back to being strangers or casual friends every single day.

I found my way to the kitchen, following the delicious aroma of fresh coffee. Jason was standing beside the island, sipping from a mug and running a finger over the screen of his phone. I remembered all the delicious things those fingers had done to me during the night and my breath caught.

He ran his eyes lazily over my face and body, coming to a stop where the hem of the t-shirt skimmed the tops of my thighs.

I wet my lips; it was crazy that he didn’t even have to touch me. He only had to give me one look and I was already on the verge of desperate arousal.

“Smells good,” I said, my eyes not leaving him.
