Her eyes grew luminous. “Stop being so wonderful. I can’t cry. It will ruin my makeup and we haven’t taken a single picture.”
“Is everyone ready?” the photographer asked.
This brought everyone’s attention back to the business at hand. From his position behind Savannah, Trent and Dylan, Kyle beamed with pride and happiness. Next to him, Nate radiated a similar joy. How odd that a year ago all three owners of Club T’s had been involved with the three women who sat or stood beside them, but each couple had been struggling to find their way.
Since then, Trent had released past hurts and reconnected with the only woman he’d ever loved. Nate had fought for and won the woman of his dreams. And Kyle had learned that sharing his deepest thoughts and emotions with Melody made his life so much richer and joyful.
“Thank you for making all my dreams come true,” Kyle murmured to Melody as the photographer announced that he was done with the photo shoot.
“Your dreams?” Melody echoed in surprise. “I think it’s me who’s lucky to have you.” She gazed down at their daughter. “Both of you. I never imagined I could be so happy.”
“How about our dreams?” he countered. “You, me and our daughter. No matter what the future holds we are going to have each other.”
Melody’s eyes shone bright. “And it doesn’t get better than that.”
