Dirty Work: Part 1

Jessica did whatever possible to get information for Kid. The espionage business was a scary, but profitable business. She knew if she was caught, Meek would kill her, but the money was good coming from Kid. He kept up his word, giving her a percentage of whatever was taken from Meek’s organization, and with incessant gifts and cash coming from Meek’s end, she was living the good life.
Kid looked her way and asked, “What you got for me this time?”
She handed him a sheet of paper that listed a few corporations, mostly shell companies, and an offshore account.
“Damn, Jessica! This some heavy shit you got from him. How you get this?”
“I do whatever I need to do.”
“I see. He fucked you good last time, huh?” There was jealousy in his voice.
“What?”
“Bitch, you heard me! How he be fuckin’ you?”
“Kid, you lost ya mind, homes.”
“I didn’t lose shit, bitch! Answer the fuckin’ question.”
“Fuck you!”
He backhanded her, the force sending her crashing to the floor. Her lip was bleeding. It enraged him that she was sleeping with the enemy after Meek had murdered his brother. It also enraged him that he had a huge crush on her and she still looked at him as if he was still a cripple, half a man.
“Fuck you, bitch! You go to him freely, but you ignored me for years!”
Jessica wiped the blood from her mouth and glared at Kid. She saw his jealousy. It was exciting to her, but dangerous too. She didn’t have any love for anyone. She had always been about herself. “What’s wrong? Mama got Daddy jealous?”
He hit her again.
She laughed from the attack. “Fuck you!” Jessica was tired of his shit. Worn out from playing both sides of the game, she was ready to put a plan of her own into action.

Kid was smart, but a fool to think Jessica would ever be a one-man whore. He’d given her a task to do with Meek, but it was hard for him to contain his emotions. He saw the way Eshon loved his brother. She would have done anything for Kip, even die for him, and he wanted that same love for himself. But it would never be there with a woman like Jessica. She had no loyalty.
He used her, but he didn’t trust her, and unbeknownst to Jessica, he had placed a tracking app on her phone to always locate her.
Thirty-Eight
Maserati Meek just couldn’t perform tonight with Jessica. He couldn’t get an erection, and he couldn’t eat her pussy right. He seemed distracted. He removed himself from the bed, brooding about something.
Jessica sat upright and watched him.
Suddenly he screamed out, “Muthafucka!” and put his fist through the wall then smashed a mirror, and turned over the flat-screen.
Jessica had never seen him so upset. “Baby, what’s wrong?” she asked.
“Every fuckin’ thing is wrong,” he growled. “I’m being attacked!”
She exhaled. There was something special about Meek that made her like him more than the other men in her life. Kid Kane was using her, but Meek was spoiling her rotten with things, and he did care for her.
The betrayal was making her sick, but the money was great. But did she have true feelings for Maserati Meek? With Nia dead, a casualty of the war, she had become his main bitch.
Meek couldn’t find a safe place to hide before having to relocate because Kid was always one step ahead of him, and he was trying to figure out why.
“I got a snitch somewhere in my organization,” he said. “Someone isn’t who they seem to be.”
Jessica felt the urge to say something to him. How long could this go on? How long could she be a spy for Kid and be a lover and girlfriend to one of the most dangerous men in the underworld until it all came crashing around her and blowing up in her face? “Baby, we need to talk,” she said.
