What She Needs (Cape May 3) - Page 9

Con crouched in front of her and took one of her hands in his. He was so strong and always so sturdy. She felt safe with Con. “I’m willing to give it a try if you are, baby.”

Tory was suddenly nervous. She’d never been alone with either man. It’d always been the three of them. “How messed up is it that now I’m suddenly feeling super-duper shy?”

“Would it surprise you to know I’m a little nervous here too?”

Con? Nervous? She couldn’t imagine him as anything other than confident and strong. Able to leap tall buildings and all that jazz. “You are?”

“Damn straight, I am. I don’t want to screw this up, Tory. I’ve screwed up so many things in my life.” His gaze swung to Devon when he said, “You and Devon matter to me. More than anything.”

Before she could think of the right words to calm Con’s fears, Devon broke into the conversation. “No one is going to screw up here. This is just another level to our relationship. And it starts tonight.” Devon stood and started toward the door.

He was leaving? The thought had butterflies taking flight in her stomach. “Where are you going?”

Devon turned and smiled. “I’m giving you two some privacy.”

Con pushed a hand through his hair and asked, “Are you sure about this, Dev?”

“I wouldn’t have suggested it if I weren’t. But remember, this thing goes both ways.”

In other words, Dev would have his turn next. He would have the chance to be alone with her. She would get to explore each man, thoroughly. Oh, wow. Tory could only laugh and shake her head at the craziness of it all—even if some part of her was excited by the idea of having each man alone. The chance to spend extra time touching, tasting, pleasing…whoa. Her pussy throbbed as naughty images bombarded her brain.

Con tugged on her hands. “What are you thinking?”

Tory looked into his sexy silver eyes. “My life is so freaking weird.”

“Weird can be good, baby,” he murmured. “Hell, weird can be fun.”

And just like that, Tory forgot all about her nervous jitters. “Fun, huh?”

“Definitely.”

Tory glanced over Con’s shoulder and realized Devon had left. It was just Con. And there went her stomach again. Would she even be able to please him?

“Don’t,” he warned, as if reading her thoughts. “It’s going to be good, I promise.”

Tory shook her head. “You’re holding my hands, so I know you can feel me trembling here.”

“I know, but you don’t have to worry. It’s just me, baby. Nothing you do could possibly disappoint me.”

“I’m glad one of us is so sure of that.”

Con stood and pulled her to her feet. “Come on. I want you naked and in my bed. You can’t know how many times I’ve thought about that.”

Tory wrapped her arms around his waist and settled into the warmth and security of his embrace. “I’ve been naked and in your bed for two months, Con.”

“But you haven’t been naked and in my bed—with me and only me.”

Tory buried her face against his chest, content to breathe him in for a few seconds before pulling back and replying, “What happens if it’s not what you hope?”

“You know, if I didn’t know better, I’d think you don’t want me, baby.”

Tory snorted. “Even when I’m old and feeble I’ll want you, so stop fishing for compliments.”

He stepped away and pointed toward the door. “Quite stalling and get that cute ass of yours up those stairs.”

“Demanding. Hmm, I like it.” Tory moved across the room, grinning and feeling much more at ease.

She could feel Con close behind as she headed out of the room. When her feet took the first few steps up to the second floor, Con’s hot breath against her ear stilled her. “One of these days that attitude of yours is going to get you a spanking, little girl.” His firm palm rubbed her ass. Oh yum. Suddenly Tory’s feet couldn’t move fast enough.
