“For a year,” she said with a half smile.
“Yes, for one year. Now you say yes and kiss me.”
“No funny business. That’s part of the deal,” she warned.
“Do you not trust yourself when faced with my superior kissing skills?” he said archly.
“Fine, egomaniac. One kiss. But that’s it. And don’t forget we need to go over terms. And I’m sure you’ll make me sign a contract. Talk to your publicist. Sorry if I’m thinking about the business side of things.”

Luke leaned in and brushed his lips against hers. Her lips on his ignited something inside him. Everything went blurry and indistinct except for the sensation of her nearness, the softness of her lips and the pleading brush of her tongue against his as he deepened the kiss. He rose to his feet, bringing her with him, taking her fully into his arms.
“Oh!” she said, dragging her lips from his, breathless.
“Yes?” he said, his voice sounding drowsy and intimate.
“This could be a really big mistake,” she said with a shaky laugh.
