The time she cried in my arms after we said goodbye to Doobie, who’d become a great friend to us, but had decided it was time to return home to New Orleans.
The moment she’d cried happy tears as she held up the white stick with two blue lines, indicating she was pregnant.
And every moment in between.
I made it my life’s goal to keep Ming satisfied and living a life of bliss, and she did the same for me.
We were living a life filled with joyful moments that we shared with our family and friends, and I knew my parents looked down on us and were thrilled that we’d found each other, just as her parents were looking at us now.
I may not have known what I’d had those seven months that I took our relationship for granted, but I sure as hell knew what I had now, and I’d fight for her, and our family, with my life, for the rest of our time on this earth, and beyond.
