Protecting His Mistress (Kindred Tales)

Karn gave her a hungry smile.
“I’d love to, but I’m afraid we’ll be late for your appointment. Besides, I just filled you with my cream for the past two hours on the way over here and I’m still not sure what happened to it.”
“That is strange,” Lilli admitted. She rubbed her belly, which seemed a little rounder than it had—maybe his seed was still deep inside her and that was why her lower tummy seemed a bit bigger than it had been. “I thought for sure when you, uh, pulled out of me that your seed would go everywhere,” she said.
“I thought so too.” He shrugged. “I guess your little pussy was just really thirsty for a drink of my cream.”
“Mmm…” Lilli smiled and snuggled close to him. “I wouldn’t mind another drink right now, Karn.” She sighed and rubbed her cheek against his broad chest. “I’m so glad you’re a Hybrid and you can’t get me pregnant. Having your seed in me makes the tingling from those awful shots so much better and of course we couldn’t risk it any other way.”
“Of course not,” he agreed, stroking her hair. “Although, lately I’ve been wishing I wasn’t a Hybrid, baby.”
“Really?” Lilli looked up at him in surprise. “Why? Do…do you want to get me pregnant?” she asked uncertainly.
Karn chuckled.
“Don’t get me wrong, sweetheart—planting a baby in that sweet little belly of yours would be a pleasure. But mostly I wish I wasn’t a Hybrid so I could bond you to me. So we could have the closeness other Kindred have with their mates.”
“Oh, Karn…” Lilli felt a lump in her throat as she looked up at him. “I wish that, too,” she whispered.
He stroked her cheek.
“It’s not every Mistress who wants to be bonded to her bodyslave, you know,” he murmured.
“I doubt any other Mistress feels for her bodyslave like I feel for you,” Lilli said and then bit her tongue. Why had she put it that way?
Karn looked at her for a long moment and then murmured, “And how do you feel, Lilli?”
“I…I feel like I’ve been waiting for you all my life,” she whispered, unable to help herself. “I know that doesn’t make sense but I feel…complete when you’re with me. When you’re in me.” She kissed his broad chest gently. “I know we haven’t known each other long but, well, I guess I love you, Karn. Is that crazy?” she asked in a small voice.
“Not crazy at all, baby,” Karn assured her. “I love you too.”
“Oh, Karn!” She leaned up to kiss him on the mouth. “I was so afraid to say it. I’m so glad you feel the same way!”
“Never felt this way for any other female,” he told her. “And because I feel so much for you, baby, there’s something I’ve been meaning to tell you—something really important.”
“What is it?” Lilli looked at him, her heart pounding. She knew a Mistress shouldn’t fall in love with her bodyslave but how could she help it when Karn was so big and strong and gentle and sweet and loving? How could she not want to be with him forever as more than just a Mistress and bodyslave?
“I wanted to tell you—” Karn began but just then the jeweled chronometer strapped to Lilli’s wrist began to go off.
“Lilli, this is your mother!” a pre-recorded message from Mistress Mirabella announced. “If you’re not already at the conception center, you should be!”
They jumped apart guiltily and Lilli looked at the chronometer. Oh dear—she was supposed to be at the center in less than twenty minutes!
“We’d better go,” Karn said, also looking at the time. “Don’t want to be late for your fake appointment.”
“Exactly.” Lilli nodded. She looked up at him. “But I still want to hear what you were going to tell me, Karn.”
“Later, baby,” he murmured, stroking her cheek. “Let’s get this appointment thing over with and then we can spend all night in each other’s arms. I’ll tell you then.”
Lilli felt a warm glow suffuse her entire body.
“That sounds wonderful,” she whispered, leaning up to kiss him. “I guess we’ll have more time to do things right after I get finished at the conception center.”
“We’ll have all the time in the world,” Karn promised her.
Neither of them knew their time together had almost run out.
Thirty-Eight
“I don’t like the look of this place,” Karn growled as they stood outside the tall metal door of the conception center. The dark gray plastisteel the building was constructed of was forbidding and it didn’t help that there wasn’t a single window in sight.
“I don’t either,” Lilli said. She lifted her chin, looking determined. “But we only have to go in for a minute. Just long enough for me to check myself in and pretend I’ve had the procedure done. Right?”
“Right.” Karn nodded, but he still didn’t like it. He felt instinctively that there was danger lurking here—something that might harm his female.
