Pulse - Part 2 (Pulse 2) - Page 12

"No." I turn away from her. Of course she meant it like that. She knows how I met him. She knows that he kept a room above the club just for fucking different women.

""I just meant that a man like that gets bored easily regardless of how hot the woman he's sleeping with is." Her words are meant to console me, but they only thrust me into more sordid thoughts of Nathan and his insatiable libido.

"I have to find a way to trust him," I say it as if it's an easy endeavor. I've already doubted him since he's taken most of the day to return a text I sent him this morning.

"I wouldn't worry about it." She picks up a bracelet and holds it up to the fluorescent lights in the store. "Enjoy the sex while you can and then when it's over you won't be too invested."

"I wish it was that easy," I mutter under my breath as I glance at a showcase filled with earrings.

"Push back." His hand pushes lightly on my mound as I stretch back in the tub, pulling his cock deeper within me.

"Like this?" I grab hold of the sides of the tub, arching my back away from him.

"I love when I'm that deep." He rests his head on the back of the tub, his other hand lazily running a circle over my throbbing nipple.

"Do you like me?" My throat tightens as I ask the question.

His eyes dart open. "Do I like you?"

"Yes." I push back again, pulling his cock even deeper within my body. "Do you like me?"

"I love your body." He jerks my hips down into his lap, causing his cock to plunge to its depth inside of me.

I let a slow, low moan escape through my lips.

"I've never fucked anyone so perfectly made for me." He moves to grab my breast, cupping it in his hand. "Everything about you is what I crave."

I push down setting a rhythm between us. "You like my body."

"No," he interrupts, his finger rising to my lips. "I love your body."

"Do you like me?" I ask again, my eyes boring into him under heavy lashes. The heat in his bathroom and the two hours we spent in bed before the bath has pulled every ounce of energy from me.

"Jessica." He stops and pulls himself from me. "Jessica," he whispers into my mouth as his lips float over mine.

"Tell me you like me." I breathe into his kiss.

"I'm crazy about you." He leans back, cupping my cheeks in his hands. "You're remarkable."

"In bed?"

"No." He runs the pad of his thumb under my eye. "In bed you're fucking spectacular."

I pull a small grin across my moist lips. Of course he'd say that. He loves what we do in bed.

"Out of bed, you don't know me," I say it. It's been skirting across my thoughts for weeks, dancing at the tip of my tongue.

"I want to know you." He kisses the tip of my nose. "I'm going to know you."

I lean forward and rest my head against his chest. I hope that's true. I want him to know me, everything about me.

Chapter 9

"I didn't think you'd be able to pull yourself out of bed." He looks up from the desk in his guest room. "Do you want me to call down so the doorman gets a cab for you?"

No. I don't want that. I want him to tell him that I can stay the night. I want him to at least acknowledge that I'm leaving with more than a quick call to someone else to arrange my transportation home.
