Pulse - Part 3 (Pulse 3) - Page 25

I smile knowing that all her Manhattan dreams are finally coming true. "Things are looking up for you."

"I guess." If I was looking for excitement, there was none to be found in her dismal mood.

"What's going on?" I push the bland food around on my plate. If there was one thing you could count on with this group of people, it seemed to be their lack of culinary taste. I was going to need to make myself a sandwich after this sorry excuse for grilled tuna.

"Do you think I'm too young to get married?"

That came out of left field. "Married?" I try not to choke on the bite of risotto I just took.

"I think I want to have a family soon." She pouts her lips. "I'd make a good mom, don't you think?"

"Are you pregnant?" I spit the question out with way too much shock and surprise attached to it.

"Pregnant?" For the first time this evening she's finally got a wide grin on her beautiful face. "You have to get screwed for that to happen and there's no action going on in there." She points towards her lap. "It's a virtual dead zone."

"You'll meet someone," I offer. I know she will. She's got everything going for her.

"Right now, Jess." She scoops her finger towards me and I lean in closer. "All I need is a really good fuck."

Chapter 19

"You're such a good fuck, Jessica," he purrs into my ear.

"What?" I almost knock him completely off my bed. "How did you get into my room?"

"That guy you live with let me in? Bryce, right?" His hands deftly pull the sheets off of my body. "Why the hell do you sleep in the nude? What if he walked in on you?"

I leisurely rest my hands over my head, putting my entire body on display for him. "I like the way it feels."

"I like the way you feel." His eyes rake slowly over my body. I can barely make out his face in the dim light of my bedroom but I sense his gaze. I know he's drinking in everything he sees.

"Why are you here?" My eyelids are so heavy. I had too many glasses of house red wine at the restaurant with Rebecca and her coworkers. When they took off for a club I got into a cab and came home. I must have fallen asleep almost instantly.

"I'm here to fuck you." His clothes are off now. He's supporting his entire weight with one hand while the other softly caresses my thigh.

"I want that." If I can keep my eyes open, I want that.

"Was the party fun?" His lips are on my neck now. It feels so soothing, so natural to have him touch me. He knows exactly how I like to be touched.

"The party?" The words escape my tongue in a breathless whisper. I moan slowly when his hand snakes up my leg and gently pushes them apart.

"Your roommate? You went to a party for her." His mouth moves lower.

"Did I tell you that?" I haven't talked to him in two days. I was working. I needed space after he said he didn't take anyone else to the hotel suite. I needed time to absorb that, to decide if it was real or fiction.

"You're so wet." His index finger circles around my clit and I groan spontaneously.

"Put on a condom." I don't mince words. I don't want to.

"You can't stand another minute without me can you?" He moves briskly and I hear the tear of the foil packet.

"I want to be fucked." The words reflect my body's need. I need to be taken. I need to be consumed. I need to not doubt him so much.

"Goddammit it," he hisses as he pushes himself completely into me. "You're so ready for me."

"Hard." I wrap my legs around his waist. "Fuck me, hard."

His lips push into mine as he slams his cock into me. I moan into the kiss and I feel his breath hitch.
