Decker looked from him to me. “Did he say who?”
I shook my head.
“Rock, you wanna see what you can find out?”
“On it.” Rock pulled out his phone and left the room.
“Who’s he calling?” I asked.
“Jinx.” Decker turned back to Buck. “To answer your question, we’re keeping the lid tight on this one.”
“What else did he say?” Buck asked me.
“He wanted to set up a time for us to meet.”
“Your response?” asked Decker.
“I told him I’d be out of town, and I’d have my lawyer contact him.”
Decker nodded. “Good. We’ll engage Hammer.”
Buck took a step closer to me. “Did you mention the safe-deposit key?”

“Also good,” said Decker.
Rock came back to the kitchen. “Jinx said it wasn?
?t anyone from Metro.”
“Stella, can I see your phone?”
I pulled it out, handed it to Decker, and watched as he took it apart. “Rock will replace it before we take off.”
Decker put his laptop in his bag. “Time to head out. Rock?”
“Irish and I will meet you at the airfield at thirteen hundred.”
“Airfield?” I asked.
“All this damn travel,” mumbled Decker. “If K19 can have their own plane, so can we.”
“K19?” I whispered to Buck.
“Another private intelligence firm. I’ll explain more later.”

We’d been in the air almost two hours when Decker tapped me on the shoulder and motioned toward the back of the plane.
I shifted Stella so she rested her head against a pillow rather than my shoulder, relieved when she didn’t wake up. I went into the aft stateroom where Deck waited with Irish and Rock, and closed the door behind me.
“I’ve been looking into the mission Stella’s aunt stuck her nose into,” Deck began.
“Operation Argead?”
